I've taken out about 2lbs maybe 2.5 lbs of sand...made the po4 go to 0.06 from 0.02 (partially cloudy from stirring up sand).  Used this hose to drain the sand into the bucket

Mon 5/7     I have not been the greatest and have not dosed since last Thursday at best. Life got crazy

temp:77.7

sal: 1.024

dKH: 7.5     definitely seeing growth in the SPS frags which is why it dropped so fast from 8.5 on thurs?

P04: 8ppb-> 0.024ppm

Mg:0.7-> 1390

Ca: 403

Added 0.75/1.0/0.75   1 drop Coral Vitalizer, 1 drop phytopheast live and 0.35ml LPS amino acids

Ill test dkH in the morning and probably add 0.5-1.0 ml of part b.

Next week I'll get the board from Home Depot to do the lighting adjustment. But overall stuffs growing and keeping my eye on the acans, not sure what is up with it.

Took the acan off the rock and place it on the bottom of the tank. its been fully open almost all day, usually it would be closed like 40% or more of the time. Placed in Less flow and further from the light.

Tunze 9001 update: Still working on the microbubbles coming out of it... not too sure what to do as to that since I have the sponges in the bottom (both). It is skimming great and while it is a tea color it is stuff that I wasn't getting out before. After about a week the collection cup is about halfway full

IMG_0264.thumb.JPG.50f36d04c3c74736a6340963d7204f15.JPG

Since I've been using the skimmer and using a smaller chemipure my P04 are at the 0-15ppb range (0.000-0.046) range, generally around the 5ppb vs when I was not using either my P04 was at 20-40 range with a bigger chemipure for 25 gal vs the 10 gal one. While I did have to modify my tank to get it to work I would have had to modify anyways to fit the tunze 3155 ato in. All in all its worth it and I have much more room in the back with no dead zone which was a waste of space!

Quick Pic of the tank and where stuff has been moved to...next week is the week ill move everything. ( acans are fluffy again!) might not like the new lighting as much I think because the flow never changed) Sunburst and Monti cap are growing! Just did a 1 gal h20 change and took out more sand) about three more changes to go before it will be all out.

IMG_1689.thumb.JPG.00c945bf5047442f58d83a70df083569.JPG

I have noticed some of the filamentous algae popping back up after manual removal and P04 being near zero. Might have to ditch the main rock and replace with new caribsea rock and change the layout of the tank a bit. I don't want to ditch the main rock as I've had it for a year but I don't want it to spread more. Any thoughts on this? Ive heard about using some peroxide on it but heard about it negatively affecting the tank if you don't properly wash. Thanks for any tips guys!

Nice setup!! I have an IM 10 as well and love it!! I understand you have some hair algae on your rocks, but I wouldn't get rid of good old LR because of it. That stuff is really good at surviving and even by removing your rock and putting new one, and when there's enough nutrients, it will grow back. How about adding some nice macroalgae in your tank? They're great shelter for pods😉

sorry I put filamentous but it's actually bryopsis. I keep mixing the two up. If it was hair I would just manually remove with so little but I don't want the bryo to spread

I had a lil bit of bubble able but then manually removed the few bubbles I saw and did a wc to try and get any spore that might have been afloat. I manually remove the bryo rn with tweezers but now what do you think of the rock lol

So I went to my lfs and talked after some talking to one of the dudes I normally reef out with said to try a zebra and another type of snail on the "roots" after I picked the few specs that were there. He claims this method worked in their 250 gal  covered in bryopsis and hair algae with about 100 of each type of snail. the hair algae is still there but I did not see any bryo in the tank. Got one of each type and placed them on the affected areas. Will take a couple days before I see if it was able to come back or nah.fingerscrossed

No problem can't wait to see what you figure out.

Here's what I decided on @ReefGoat!

$10 board, nail gun, and the longer of the 2 included with the RMS kit was installed. I left a space in the back for access to the magnets for the skimmer and ato readily available. Just going to be cleaning up the cables and then replacing the white false wall with a display I got for free...will look way more presentable but gotta figure out how I'll make it fit.

This is the display I got for free. Thinking about putting my di h2o on the bottom along with the chiller, and then on the middle section put all my hardware like reef link etc, and top one the stuff I use everyday? Or do you guys think I should stay with the peg board?

Or this? I didn’t remount the other things  yet as I’m unsure if I like tis look completely (also my ato water has to sit on the chiller but I only keep 2gal-2.5 in it at a time).
