  1. I would have kept the light, but going through 2-3 light fixture a year because it keeps breaking, you're spending at least 200$ a year. That being said the tank itself is great, the overflow has great dimensions, way easier to clean that IM tank IMO
  2. They are decent lights, I remember adding a blue LED strip to make the tank look bluer and I put it in a dimmer to use it as a moonlight. I got decent growth, but light kept failling and honnestly I wouldn't pay 100$ for that light. Maybe I just got unlucky. I'm happy with the AI prime, and with the heatwave going on (35 celsius but feels like 45 with humidex and no AC), the lid would make it impossible to deal with.
  3. Yeah...I had the "improved" version...broke after 3 months, got a replacement, stopped working after 6 months, called them again and was told they only replace once under the 1 year warranty and that the light was 100$...so I went out and bought myself an AI prime HD hopefully you'll have better luck with yours!

    Dinos! Oh no!

And to make things better, my ocellaris clownfish (well the female for now) FINALLY showed interest for my BTA!!! She's now madly in love with it lol

It did, but only time will tell if it'll stay that way. Fingers crossed!!!

Update on my tank. I put my ocellaris pair and BTA in my IM 10. The tank was fishless so I thought why not they will look nice in my tank. And of course less than 48 hours post transfer the female clown took the bta as a host hahaha. Did a 72 hours black out with peroxide as well as a chemiclean because of one cyano patch I saw. Thought might as well do it now. Tank is now spotless, no clue if it will last but we shall see

So big changes in the tank; my ocellaris pair is now in it with the rainbow BTA they were not interested it. Well guess who was having a little party last night in the anemone...yup, the female...go figure I guess all they needed was a change of scenery. Obviously that's it for the fish, mac bioload had been reached lol.

Thanks😁 I'm not sure about the macro, I bought a tiny amount of it last year and it's growing like crazy lol. But great for nutrients removal!!! There's also a giant ball of that algae in the left back corner. Pods love that stuff!! And IMO looks way better than cheato in a display.

Not much going on with the tank. Tailspot blenny is still there, watching the tank lol. Added some frags (Gsp, xenia, toadstool, kenya tree). Also gave away my LPS corals. They were not doing. There's also a smal BTA for my sexies, since I cannot find maxi mini and RFA and way too expensive here. Might get a white percelain crab for it!

    That's what I have. And it's 1ml per 10 gallon?

    Dinos! Oh no!

My IM 10g, can you spot my tailspot blenny lol. I barely touch that tank lol

    Dinos! Oh no!

You're right! It's just anoying because this tank is almost a year old but has never looked nice, always some algae. First cyano, now this. I'll keep dosing, the BTA should be fine??

Yeah I'm gonna put all my corals in my 2g tank (there's just a rock in it lol) give the peroxide a try and if by the end if the weekend there's no improvement i'll start from scratch, but I'll be stuck with one BTA and 2 occys which couldn't care less about it...
