You can buy a orange filter for your cell but they still run like 30 bucks and turning down the blues still helps greatly. It was more of an answer of how you get the best pictures of your coral. Dslr manual mode and post editing is the only way to get how your corals truly look. Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
So was my calcium good? 400ppm? I was planning to test everything later when I got home. Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
Bump anyone? I just wanna know if this is good and it I did it correctly? Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
Well here’s an update on the tank. Tank is definitely looking better. Haven’t had any cyano in like 4 days so far. Mystery nem is still right in the same spot that the snail dropped him off on. I thought that my favia was a goner, but whenever I moved him up to the frag rack, he finally stopped losing skin. He still has that darn hair algae on him, I’ve gotten it off multiple times. I used the toothbrush and peroxide. He’s been exactly like this for about 2 weeks. Hasn’t lost any skin or gained any back. He isn’t eating the mysis that I used to give him, but hopefully eventually he’ll take it. These are pictures of pretty much everything in my tank. Ratvan
Nice pictures again, things are definately looking up. Have you got an up to date livestock list? If so could you edit your 1st post to include it? I have a Turbo snail that loves hair algae, I left him cleaning my frag plugs this evening. You might have some might not. The list would help with trying to help you out Quote Link to comment

EthanPhillyCheesesteak
Does anyone have a Trachyphyllia, Lobophyllia, or willso garden? I just adore my trachy and I want to see what other people’s look like Quote Link to comment

EthanPhillyCheesesteak
Just a picture of the carpet nem. He was nice and open, so I decided to get a picture of him. 5 Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
Last night I fed everything in the tank, even that little tiny mystery nem who actually took some mysis, even tho the mysis was the same size as the nem itself. When I woke up, my trumpets two mouths had separate circles of feeding tentacles, they weren’t connected at all like they used to be. Does this mean they are about to spilt? 1 Quote Link to comment
jedimasterben
Not "about to", but in the process. It takes quite a bit of time. Quote Link to comment

EthanPhillyCheesesteak
My cleaner shrimp is playing with death. Every morning I will see him gliding along the surface of my two nems. He doesn’t really even glide, he will hop across their tentacles using his little legs. I don’t know how he isn’t eaten yet. And I have two nems that are known to sting and eat stuff! A carpet nem and a big long tentacle nem. It’s just crazy how brave this guy is. Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
Last night when my lights were off, I finally noticed how big my long tentacle nem really is. I had no idea he was this big. I’ll try to get a picture later tonight when the lights are off, but he was at least 10 or 12 inches. He only gets that big whenever the lights are turned off for the night. He takes up the entire back corner of a 29 gallon. He’s taking up a good 25% of the tank probably. Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
I’m probably gonna keep the long tentacle, but will eventually sell the rainbow carpet. Would anyone be interested in him? You all saw the picture of him above, so if anyone would be interested pm me. Or just say something in my journal. Quote Link to comment

It might help if you tell people where you're located. I'm not sure many people would want buy something shipped from you, but may be more than willing to pick it up, or trade you some corals for it. I would definitely do pickup. I live in WV. I would love to either do a trade for some corals or just cash. Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
So my LFS gave me a free piece of dried rock today, and I would really like to put it in my tank. But I’m wondering how I should do it? Quote Link to comment
