EthanPhillyCheesesteak
Yea, I found that they will get to a size of 3 to 4”. A min of 10 gallons would be good for that crab. If I were to get a crab like that, I would probably get at least a 15 gallons tho Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
Ok, so I got some new corals thanks to WV Reefer. I put them in the tank about 30 mins ago, they are all starting to open up. I do not have any glue to glue down the corals that weren’t on a plug as of right now, but I’m picking some up tomorrow. There is a neon green toadstool(personally one of my favorites), Granny Smith zoas, hammer, branching gsp(which has not opened up for some reason yet), Jedi mind trick Montipora, Kidd’s reds zoas, and red cluster dusters. 2 Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
The red cluster dusters are kinda hard to make out 2 Quote Link to comment

I’m surprised that toadstool opened up that fast! It’s usually very moody. 😄 1 Quote Link to comment

Yeah that's probably a good idea. I actually just found out then can spread across the sandbed...Mine is starting too, maybe half an inch on the sandbed right now. Didn't think it would and well it is. Quote Link to comment

Wow, I didn’t even know it could do that? Does gsp require high light? Or low to medium light? Quote Link to comment

EthanPhillyCheesesteak
I just have a quick question. If you put zoas on a rock without gluing them down, will they eventually attach by themselves? Quote Link to comment

Zoas can attach without glue but the current may blow them loose so just keep an eye out. Quote Link to comment

They seem to be doing quite nicely right now. They look beautiful 1 Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
The gsp finally opened and is flowing in the current, it looks nice. 1 Quote Link to comment

EthanPhillyCheesesteak
I got some bad news. While I was out, my wavemaker came loose and made a huge sandstorm in the tank. Some of the frags got buried and they aren’t happy. I’m hoping they will all be ok Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
The corals seem to be doing ok, the only one that’s worrying me is the gsp. I used a aquarium coral frag glue paste made by instant ocean to glue down the corals, and they are not happy. The toadstool looks amazing. A piece of the monti actually broke off, so I glued it to the rock in hopes that it will grow into its own colony. Quote Link to comment

Make sure that that hammer isn’t getting too much flow. The tentacles should be swaying not blowing. When fully extended you won’t be able to tell how many heads there are...... it will look like one full piece. 1 Quote Link to comment

How much light did you have yours under? I tried to put it in a place with not a ton of flow 1 Quote Link to comment
EthanPhillyCheesesteak
When I was putting the gsp in the putty, I think that I pushed on the middle of it too hard. It was really mad and it released a small amount of green liquid which I don’t think is good. I’m hoping that he will be ok. The middle is the worst, but the bottom and the top look good. 1 Quote Link to comment
