Just went to look at your frag tank build, it looks like you have the 4-bulb fixture.  Mine is a 2-bulb fixture. 

 

@Lula_Mae, this one is not the same as the one on the classified list that u commented on recently. I think that one is also a 4-bulb version as well.

@micoastreefing I hope you remembered to tell  @DaveFason to include the PFD option for the fixture. Or at least have water wings handy.

 

And with that bad joke being completed, I have officially beat the dead horse. All references to swimming lights are hereby stopped. Time to move on to new material.

Growth (or lack of) update! 1.7 cm tall today. Knock knock knock, is this thing even on? Still not showing any promise for taking home the 150000 pennies, but I saw polyps on it for the first time ever today so there’s that. Well, until I whacked it with the ruler.

 

 

Top-down encrustnent shot. All of that has grown this month. The tricolor validated is doing something weird—all the color has turned to white. Only difference in tank care is adding KZ sponge power so I’m doing a 5 g water change today—first one in 6(?) months now.

The valida looks like it's either bleached or isn't getting enough nutrients. The upscales seems a little pale too but that might just be the way it looks in the picture. You don't have super low nitrates or phosphates do you?

On a different note, I have noticed that the frags that are in a “vertical” position have very limited growth and coloration.

Also the frags that are in a “horizontal” position, look like winner chicken dinners. 

 

So I decided to make a bold move mine into a position from a mike jones song “sitting sideways”  I had a little pep talk with the microlados and it needs to train with my miliporas... by the time my monthly “check-in” comes around hopefully the training and mike jones pays off.

You know what time it is: the unofficial official start of man-party-weekend. That's right, while the lady-friend is off hobnobbing in the Hampton's watching small Argentinian men wack balls from the backs of tiny equine, Blenwood and I are about to be crotch deep in some bad TV, second-rate delivery pizza, cheap beer, and not yardwork. For the next 48-hours I will figuratively shimmer with a thick sheen of un-productivity and reek of sheer laziness with a subtle hint of lack of showering. Not only will this be glorious but it will probably be also a little shameful (#sorrynotsorry). Apart from that, it is also Friday, which can only mean one thing: SH$T TALK FRIDAY!! And today is extra special because it is progress pic week, which means two things: 1) most of us get to show off off our small turds of not-growth, and 2) @teenyreef gets to humble-shame us with his skillz. 

 

As evidenced by terrible comparison photos below (seriously, taking a photo while holding a ruler shouldn't be this difficult, I've even tried doing it sober... still hard and less fun) my frag has noticeable grown only if you squint your eyes and say Beatlejuice three times. What's worse is that those stupid ugly zoas have grown in so I can't properly put the ruler on the LR, robbing me precious tenths of a millimeter (an excuse I wish I had used in college). Adding insult to injury, because my dumb frag won't grow straight any increase in size is handicapped by its curve (not going there, too easy). As a result, it becoming increasingly clear that my only chance of getting my pizza-grease stained paws on those 4,117 Ethiopian Birr's is going to depend on either crafty sabotage or blatant chicanery. Oi, and with that I am going to go start heavily carbon dosing.

Every god damn Friday I check in to see the real “People’s Elbow” be delivered however, I’ve been sadly disappointed for multiple weeks on end. Why exactly are y’all calling it potty mouth friday? There’s 0 potty and very little mouth.
