Its not a panic attack... its trying to help you so you don't really piss off your tank and disrupt the balance of things. Personally I'd pitch that water you mixed with 2x the salt.... With a really good membrane you'll basically not even need DI resin, a TDS meter won't even read that low unless you have a good one! Do you have a gif library sorted by situation, or do you take a minute to brave the Internet and locate then as the need arises? A bit of both, actually.
