The stalks are what it anchors with. If you take it by surprise before it decides to slime up ( NO SMART COMMENT BENNY) you can get it out without ripping it (which would just grow more xenia). In fact I just removed 3 stalks the other day and threw it in the sump. VERY good nutrient control coral BTW, I'm sure you know this. Quote Link to comment
