Thanks man. You should do it they are very hardy animals.... during the tank transfer they sat in a bucket with just a powerhead/heater for almost 2 months.

 

I approve that one is orange.

Do they sting anything around them? Ive heard they will kill anything by them.

 

Yes they do so you do have to keep adequate distance between them and other corals. However I doubt they can kill anything near them as they dont have the most potent sting ive come across. For instance ive seen a fish accidentally swim against them and while he definitely was stung it wasnt nearly enough to render the fish immobile.

The detail and colors in those 2 pics is just outstanding and that for me reminds me of the beauty of this hobby you can't get anywhere else.

Picked up some new lps a week ago they have a small bit of tissue recession but so far they look to be recovering

Exceptional! (...had to post the pics one more time...just because they are so nice) :)

 

Scale is lacking, but here's my guesses:

 

I believe that the first pic may be a Favites sp. since the corallites are cerioid (shared walls).

 

The second would likely be Acanthastrea echinata.
