Mine started acting up, we called aqueon and they said it was on recall. so they sent us a different version, which is now my backup heater. Well mine is on a controller so unless it stops heating I wouldn't know if it was acting up or not. Quote Link to comment

I'd double check regardless. now that i think about it, mine had a red dial and was replaced with one with a blue dial. I think. stil, go off of what aqueon says. my memory is poop right now.
