LazyFish
Some pics with just blues and an orange filter on my phone. Lurking starfish grabed some food. lurk... graby hands waiting on a treat. lurking together. Marco Polo is out for once so hard to get a pic of this fish...perhaps I should name the squat lobster. 5 Quote Link to comment

LazyFish
Its late I left the blue light on too long. Now some stuff has closed up. Still looks nice. Squatty eats out my hands he waves around the food pellet when he grabs it from me like hes going "yay!" Then puts it in his mouth and starts turning it over and over with his mouth parts while he nibbles it. 4 Quote Link to comment

Seven came from another tank and I think three or four from my lfs. Most were $14 to $25 a few were like $10. The most expensive ones were the pink diamonds and the speckled fire and ice. They were from a larger chunk. I think they were $45 each at the lfs. The Brazilian flag I think was $35 from an online vendor. I did alot of hunting and comparing to get the best prices I could on the ones I got online. I bought these over time otherwise it would have cost too much. 1 Quote Link to comment

LazyFish
Upgrade. Just ordered this. Dont get me wrong the other light works fine actualy but I want more control ability and ramp up ramp down option. This is the fluval sea nano light. 2 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
It's on the tank now. It's a 20wt light as opposed to the 18wt skyee but that's devided between multiple channels. The blue did not quite have the intensity and pop I was looking for but I do still have the blue strip in place and with it on it pops like crazy. The light running at my curent color settings isnt quite as bright as it was running my other light with the dimmer. Optimally it would be slightly brighter imo. I do like the timer and controllable ramp up and down and that each channel is adjustable. Unfortunatly they dont tell you how many watts it is at each setting. There is far less disco ball effect with the many lower powered leds as opposed to the fewer higher powered ones on the skyee. The spread is also better. I dont see the "hotspot" at the top that was starting to bleach my grandis. One problem if it looses power you have to open the app to send it the saved settings it cant store them. This light I think would be great for the evo III aquarium as a pico reef and other simmilar sized tanks. Tankes been looking a bit blea. Found a wad of old filter floss in one of the chambers been in there for months probly full of yuck. Probly the problem. Removed it and changed filter media. 4 Quote Link to comment
Squid_reef
Looking neat! lovin what you have done so far with it all. I have the same light on my 2.5G - it worked out nicely 👍I even have enough PAR for some SPS at the top of my tank, currently testing it with a Superman montipora digita. I found little information if none about this light back when I setup my Pico, I'll be curious to follow along see how it goes for you - What colour setting are you running? Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
So far I cant tell if the corals like this new light or not...dont see any changes in extension yet. I'll give it a few days and see. Quote Link to comment

LazyFish
Some shots full blues with orange filter. The tank is nearing a year old now. The fish is still kicking. I havnt updated in a while I recently got married and moved with this tank. The other two are still at the old place unfortunatly. Its colder at this place and the corals were not too happy so I added a tiny heater to this tank mand it seems to be working well. The lava lamp shroom.has turned out well. 1 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
I ran put of room on previous post. * points up*☝️ To go with the above post with the blues heres it with full lights on and no filters. The button scoly is on one of the other tanks I wasnt sure how it would do with the move in this pico. Also heres the heater I added. 20wt about the size of my thumb. 3 Quote Link to comment

LazyFish
We have been having a prety bad heat wave and the house I'm at dosnt have central ac. On 6/21 the tank over heated for the first time. It wasnt too bad so I tried this. It worked quite well for short while. 3 days later the fan craped out and it got like 88+ again most of the day. It cooked alot of the corals. The fish was fine. All The tissue basicly sloughed off the gorgs that same day. You can see the yellow blade falling appart while the others are striped alredy. The shrooms are pissed and the rfa is angry. All of the zoas receded and closed up. Alot of them also started to just straight up melt. It was so bad I thought the tank may have also been contaminated somehow on top of the heat problem and went to extra lengths to ensure the water was not contaminated some how. Used new water containers and all fresh new water from a reliable source. Couldent keep the temps stable in the room it was in and we ended up moving the whole tank to the bedroom where the temp could be kept constant. The tank is finaly starting to recover after sevral water changes and change of filter media. With the increased feedings of everything that was left I was getting algae. Then I discovered this little ass. Sitting on/falling off of a closed polyp in broad daylight. Most of the zoas are still closed and he was super easy to spot. I ordered a red light for late night hunting but have yet to find any more but I have seen pods millions of them. It was acting prety weird like it couldnt stand properly and was disorented. I wonder if it was alredy on it's way out and got its brains scrambled by the heat. Or perhaps trying to feed on the dying zoas poisoned it? I've been checking nightly but no signs of any more. Never saw a sign of these in the tank so the population must not have been large. If there were any more at all.I added a emerald crab and a red legs to help with the algae. The emerald is very small and a temporary resident once the bubble algae is gone hes going in another tank. Here he is chowing on some bubble algae its cloudy after the water change. starting to have some recovery. Remaining zoas stoped melting and some have started opening. All have polyp loss some very severe. I totay lost multiple morphs. My lush bunch of bam bams are just a few polyps my pink diamonds are 2 tiny nubs I'm not even sure will come back. Blues are gone, Speckled fire and ice are gone mary Jane's are gone scrambled eggs are gone, kalidascopes have a few nubs left but still wont open. Sevral unnamed morphs also gone. Rastas, magicians, snake polyps and twizzlers seemed to come out the best. Shrooms and conjoined rfa is fine. One of the un named ones appears to have color morphed but idk if it will hold. I'll get some fts soon. The tank is on its way to slowly recover. I'm going to replace the speckled fire and ice, scrambled eggs. True blue and if they dont make it the kalidescopes and pink diamonds. 5 Quote Link to comment
LazyFish
Tank is recovering prety well. Havent seen the emerald after the first week anywhere and still have some bits of bubble algae. Zoas are starting to fill back in gorgs growing and added a frag of pink kimono chalice. Also temporarily have the sole survivor from another chalice colony in my other tank that got nuked by another coral. Fish and red hermit still doing well. Mutant conjoined rfa also doing well. 6 Quote Link to comment
