Hornets fully open, started with 3 polyps 12 months ago.. these guys are slow growing.

One of the £5er rocks I got yesterday.. not what I would call popping but nice mature rock with some mushrooms! Not bad really... The snails are hitting it hard clearing off a bit of algae...

GSP growing well. Need to cut back a lot on other rocks though.

Going to do a serious but of rescaping today, as I have a few kg of new rock I was going to use in 9to5 as well as to remove a few chunks of GSP before it gets out of control.

Yeah I have them all over the place, lots of shaded spots I want to design out on the new Scape. The sump though! That looks like a bathroom store there are so many sponges

I agree on the slow growing part. My purple ones popped out around 5 more polyps in almost a year. Took them forever.

Your blue ones are really pretty. Hopefully my blue ones will grow out in the upcoming months.

Gahhh no those sponges are the devil! 😈😆 No seriously, do you guts like those sponges?! I have sponge that looks like that spreading in a couple spots I don’t want it. That sponge and ball anemones are not my friends.

Saturday night on the strip

Even the sand sifter is out and about tonight, first time I seen him for a couple days.. he seems to like climbing the rear panel clearing the various worms from the glass as he glides over it.

Torch is starting to get too big. It reaches just over half way up into the tank and is less than a 1cm from brushing the hammer.. no where else to put it. Believe it or not, this is a not a high flow area of the tank....

Looks great! That’s the problem I run into with torches too, though, they get happy and outgrow their spot. I’m considering removing the candy cane next to mine in my Evo 5 for fear that the torch will stop being polite and take the candy cane out.

I really like how your rocks are all at the back leaving heaps of sand Bed space. I tried doing this with my tank and it worked but I think I needed a bit more width.

Thanks, always fight between rock wall and modern islands.. so decided to fake it and do both 😂 from the side it's a rock wall and front is an island 👍🏼

The sand is ontop of some flat rock in places so its got some nice rising areas.

Really considering either a 3rd prime 16hd or a hydra 32hd for the centre of the tank.

Really I should have done 2 hydra 32s to begin with.. but we are where we are.

Beautiful tank mate! Yeah I’m on the fence of doing a t5 hybrid with the 16hd or doing a second 16hd🙄

Bringing the tank temp up to just above 25°c now the outdoor temperature is getting cooler. Currently the controller is set to 25 with a tolerance of 0.3, but now it's cooler the temp seems to be under 25 most of the time. So it's up to 25.5 now which keeps it in the 25 area.

 Green Chromis 7 months in

7 months in with the chromis and all in good health with no real aggression to date. Some face offs from time to time but once the pecking order got established, it's been fine.

I attribute this order to the fact that there are larger wrasse and a tang in the tank, which are all often keeping the chromis in check.

Let's see what the next 7 months brings...
