jedimasterben
I'd use my goddamn Ethereal if I could program the MFer.The app sucks giant dicks, even still, almost 8 months after they released the initial version. The previous beta release actually worked better for me than the version on the Google Play store. What part of the setup are you stuck at? 1 Quote Link to comment
StinkyBunny
It's not allowing me in to the set up. I can tell you this, this is my first, last and only CoralVue purchase. I had Verizon come out and update all of the internet hardware so this is their issue. I can control my SUPAR CHINABOX lights with no issues whatsoever. Quote Link to comment

jedimasterben
A few things to note. I measured alk at about 6-6.5dKH yesterday, so I added a bit less than half a teaspoon of kalkwasser (dry) to the tank into the overflow. Man, when that stuff went past the pH probe it shot from 7.6 to 8.4, but then very quickly leveled back out to about 7.75. I will add another half teaspoon tonight, and then another half tomorrow, and that should raise alkalinity to a bit over 8dKH. I have a single speck of coralline that has grown on one of my Tunzes. Finally! Though probably a bit soon to be glad lol. And I had to pull the desjardini tang today. I had mentioned to kat a day or two after I got it that my starry blenny was bullying it, and it got to the point where the tang would no longer come out of the rocks to eat as the blenny would just nip at it until it went back into hiding. I was hoping to drain the tank to try and get the blenny out this weekend, but that didn't happen, and here we are 1 Quote Link to comment

Not scared at all. It held its ground the other day when the anthias (which is about four times its size) wanted it's food. It was pretty shy at first, but after a couple of weeks it got used to eating frozen foods and has been just an amazing fish. It hangs out under those palys that it's under in the picture, but when I come up to the tank it comes out and watches me. It will also now chase food down a couple inches up above the sand, which is super cool. 2 Quote Link to comment

jedimasterben
I think someone replaced my wife with an alien. She walked up to the tank on her own and asked if I was buying all the fish she liked so that she wouldn't get mad at me for buying fish, then said that she's never seen the corals look as good as they do now 12 Quote Link to comment

B-SMOOTH
How do you feel the Maxspect stacks up to the other reflector based LEDs like Mitras or AP700, or even a no optics/reflector design like the Nanobox? Quote Link to comment
jedimasterben
Ooooh, Benny.....this can only mean one thing. She's pregnant buddy! You have to have sex to get that result, really isn't any of that going on here unfortunately. How do you feel the Maxspect stacks up to the other reflector based LEDs like Mitras or AP700, or even a no optics/reflector design like the Nanobox? Realistically, each of the LED clusters is bare. The reflectors that surround the cluster are not efficient and really don't do much, so I would consider this a system without real secondary optics. PAR is still very high and due to the LEDs being recessed a bit there isn't quite as much light spill, so that's good at least. 1 Quote Link to comment
