FlowerMama
Thanks, I'll have to look that up. Oodinium. Quote Link to comment
StinkyBunny
The easiest way to tell the 2 diseases apart is Ich looks like grains of salt on the fish. Oodinium or velvet is small white specs that are tiny compared to ich. Ich will usually go away on its own, velvet is fairly lethal. I've tried a few different treatments with very little luck with Oodinium. The 2 Powder Blue tangs I got in today will be down with ich tomorrow. I'll turn the temp up and let it run its course, it'll be gone in 3-4 days. Quote Link to comment

FlowerMama
Here are some pics of some lovelies using a soft yellow gel filter. And here are a few half/half. Sometimes the difference is so dramatic. 1278.photobucket.com/user/1stimereefer/media/20160612_2004270_zpslcpxv3sa.jpg.html][/url] 9 Quote Link to comment

FlowerMama
Ok, you've convinced me... I need to get some of those filters!! They certainly equal out the blue. And blue & yellow make green so greens are wonderful and vibrant. I thought I had a pink rfa but it is orange actually and it brought out the rainbow better in others. 1 Quote Link to comment

FlowerMama
Very Nice!! Would love to get some Got Corals Nems in there for you some day! Sandy Hi Sandy, trying to get some cash together after 4500K in car repairs in March & April. Will see what I can do to add to my clan. I love the details that change, grow over time. Other corals are always the same. But here you get a newly formed white around the edge, smooth tentacles that become ribbed, a purple splash appearing in your rainbow, etc. I have a long way to go before I see spawnings - If I recall correctly seems that activity only began after they were like 2" big. I'd love to find out soon which are females and males. Solstice coming up 6/20- hoping for a spawning!!! Going to your site to take a look. I need to find 3 or 4 to make shipping worthwhile. My problem is I'll really like one here or there but not enough all at once to make a purchase. 1 Quote Link to comment

FlowerMama
Oh, I also have this little mushroom in this tank. I bought it because of the yellow in the mushroom and it'll be pretty when it grows up. There's just never enough yellow in reefing. And what do you see in this Rorschach Test! Ok, then this one? Or finally this one? 7 Quote Link to comment

FlowerMama
And just a video from seems long ago. The music perfect from beginning to end as it folded & unfolded. Just really having a sentimental night about my old rock flowers. Wish my mind would stop it. 3 Quote Link to comment

FlowerMama
I'm really excited about the purple that's deciding to come in on the edge, a little splash of it. 1 Quote Link to comment
FlowerMama
And I really like the aquamarine mouth coming in on the orange one. 3 Quote Link to comment
FlowerMama
Well, the orange/pink nem to the immediate left of Teeyreef's went floating and landed .....on the left side of the tank. This is where it is now. Opposite the Rose coral. And of course not facing me. That one's getting some cool purple fat stripe in it's orange/pink. And here's something on the right side. It's in the rock. I can't make out if it's a wanna-be feather duster? It looks frilly, wispy. And here's the cute lil mushroom again. It's getting a little bigger. I love the yellow, there's also light green, light blue. I think it'll be stunning as it grows bigger. 3 Quote Link to comment
Sharbuckle
Your nems looks so happy! Great looking tank so far. That rose coral is super cool too, neatest hitchiker i've seen. 1 Quote Link to comment
