Sk8n Reefer
The surfing lessons don't surprise me!!! I can't wait to hear how you like it! I used to try to surf in my late teens/20s. It wasn't easy! Although I bet with skating, you already have that whole center of gravity thing down. I did not It was fun- I was able to get up first try and ride the wave for a bit but when I started back out I got tore up by some waves and ended up swallowing a ton of water from a few sets pounding me. I was surprised how tired I got. Since I hadn't been skating much I am not in great shape and it showed...........I'd rather ride a concrete wave that's for sure ? I tried windsurfing, ended badly. I could not get the sail up. I should have used viagra. or maybe niagara.... That's funny- never tried windsurfing but it looks fun though. You should try skating- cement doesn't move ? Hey, I say 3-4 anthias They eat a lot, so more food for the acros! Ya, there are some pretty ones- you think a 50gal. is big enough for them? 3 Quote Link to comment

Cement may not move but it's also really hard and isn't a good fall bracer:lol: 1 Quote Link to comment
vlangel
I always wanted to try surfing but never got the chance. I used to have excellant balance but that is changeing now. Once Dave was amputated the beach wasn't much fun for him. A prothetic doesn't get much return on the sand and he can't get it wet either. Poor guy, maybe that is why he enjoys the seahorse tank. 2 Quote Link to comment

Only difference though is her tank has a longer footprint. I have some in mine too... 55 gallon display. 2 Quote Link to comment

It was a good experience and if I lived near the ocean I am sure I'd be surfing everyday..........still need my skateboard though ? Never thought about that with the beach and a prosthetic limb. I am still pretty amazed that he picked up riding a motorcycle later in life and with a prosthetic - pretty special guy you have there ? 3 Quote Link to comment
