Hey Justin, where did you get that pink millie?

Hey you. Thanks again for the neophos. I've got high phosphates :) Needed to tumble a little GFO.

DIY Awesome Algae Scraper:

Need a butane torch. I don't think my creme brulee torch will work

Thats a propane torch. But a little butane torch works just fine.

A stove would work.

I have found that rigid airline tubing works better. Its flexes well around corners. And being hollow and air filled, it floats when accidentally knocked into the tank.

How are you adjusting your WB? Any post-processing?

Well the camera I'm using is just a PS camera, i honestly don't think you can manually adjust it, so i just use auto. The camera isn't the best in terms of adjusting things but compared to what i was using, and the fact that i don't need anything crazy, it works.

For those pics i didn't do any post processing, too many and didn't really care. But the FTS i tried working on in Flikr.

I'm running 20-30 sometimes 40 before I change anything.

Lol wow. I changed my other cartridges when i hit 5, but never changed the RO. Figure I might as well do it now.

I change before I hit 1. Don't change RO unless you need too.

[Pre-filter, Carbon block] - change these on a regular basis, they protect the RO filter from getting clogged with sediment or damaged by certain impurities in the water.

[RO Membrane] - Change the RO membrane when TDS out of the membrane (prior to the DI filter) goes above ~ 5% of the input TDS or pressure is significantly reduced (it can get clogged)

The RO membrane protects the DI and extends its life. If all the DI has to do is reduce 2 TDS to 0 then it might last a year or more.

So just checked the TDS before the DI, Coming out of the RO its 20 so i definitely need to switch it out.

In other news my alk came in lower than usual which is surprising. It tends to sit at 7.1 but today i tested at 6.88, increased by 1 mL.
