Arkayology
May go nab a small Kole tang today.... That and I want another Midas Blenny but I'm thinking of the kole tang Go for it! They are not really as big of an open swimmer as some of the others tangs. Mine spends most of it's time grazing around the rocks. I think they do just fine in smaller tanks while they are around 3'' or less. Midas blennies are cool too. Mine is really interesting to watch. 2 Quote Link to comment
markalot
Got me some AcroPower, on sale, when I purchased a WP10 for my little tank. I added a cap full to the tank, nothing happened. Maybe it's broke. So, do you use the once a week dosage, or dose more often? Once a week seems a bit small. 1 Quote Link to comment

picoreef78
Just does the 1st ml of Acropower today. Can't hurt and it is pretty cheap compared the other AA's on the market. What is your template for the Radion? 1 Quote Link to comment
Arkayology
Does the kole tang eat bubble algae, million dollar question I wish. I have an emerald that does a good job of it though. Same, if we can get color like Arkaygoldy with it, we'll know why, it's the secret formula, shhh! I'm gonna give the Acropower a try as soon as my tank is readyyyy Good luck with it! What is your template for the Radion? Pretty much 14k all day and all blues for 3 hours for 9. I'll post it soon. 1 Quote Link to comment
jedimasterben
Does the kole tang eat bubble algae, million dollar question No, you'd need a rabbitfish. Some say that the Zebrasoma desjardini has been known to snack on bubble algae, but it's much more hit than miss, unlike the rabbitfish. I treated my bubble algae like candy for mine, I would pull some off the rock and it would eat it out of my hand. I miss it 2 Quote Link to comment

The light i have over my corals right now has four royal blue, four violet, four deep red, and two warm white - coralline has exploded in that tank, there is more in there than has ever been in the 80. jedimasterben
Coralline looks like a pile of knobs under predominantly blue light, it takes warm colors to really bring out the look - and apparently the growth, too 2 Quote Link to comment

I hated that fish. 2 Quote Link to comment

I put my trust in emerald crabs for the bubble algae. I have found one LFS by me that carries emeralds that always eat bubble algae. If they can get to it, they eat it. Quote Link to comment
