Still cranky after the 90% WC today. Quite a few closed/shrunken polyps! 😅

 

 

 

 

I had to do a larger WC to compensate for the *almost 2 weeks of no WCs. Some of the coral colors have dulled too, despite the daily dosing of various buffers. 😕

 

I think the colors will return in time. I'll be quite busy monitoring my QT tank for the next 2+ weeks, but I'll make an effort to keep up with the weekly WC schedule of the nano. 👍

 

Also forgot to mention - I picked up 2 new corals for this tank. A dark red bullseye rhodactis with hints of bright green and a bit of cyan:

 

 

And an evidently pink yuma (which looked orange and purple under the store's lights) : 🤷‍♀️

 

 

The yuma isn't neon-colored, unlike the neon pinks I've seen at the LFS before. I do see hints of purple on it though - and maybe a tinge of green (?) 🤔

 

I'll need to wait for it to color up more in the upcoming weeks. No new zoas. That's the price you pay when you've literally bought out every single zoa morph the store has to offer. 🤦‍♀️

 

I am hoping they will get new morphs in though. Still looking for the simple ones like radioactive dragon eyes, eagle eyes, sunflowers etc. 

 

I'm not sure at what point these common morphs became *uncommon, but I'd love to have them in my tank again. 😊

 

I also picked up 2 sulky leathers, but those were for my bigger reeftank-in-progress. 👍

Just finished cleaning up & WCing the tank around ~1 hour ago. Everything is still a bit cranky, but the polyps and heads should open up fully by tomorrow evening. 🥰👍

Tank is doing alright. There's still a pesky algae film that pops up every few days, but nothing outwardly unusual. The algae on the rocks are usually finished off by my snail, and Geralt the hermit does pick off any green strands that pop up here and there. 

 

I trimmed the GSP on the back wall a little because a small part of the mat had become detached. I might frag some of the Purple Monsters in the future again - no solid plans yet. 🤔

 

Also considering seeding the tank with another bag (600ml) of copepods again in a few weeks. 👍
