    Tank Stock for 25 gal

I currently have a 25 gallon tank with atleast 50 pounds of live rock and a bunch of caves and hiding spots, I'm currently holding x1 fire shrimp, x1 royal gramma, x2 clownfish, x1 pink-spotted watchman goby, x1 purple firefish, x5 astrea snails, x5 blue legs. I recently completely a fish in cycle with the two clownfish it's been about 5-6 weeks and then added the shrimp, waited a few days, and added the 3 other fish, I'm closely monitoring my ammonia levels, with that being said, they eat, come out, no issues seem to have been shown, they each seem to have found their own hiding spots while the clownfish basically just roam around all day keeping an eye on all of them, they're all about an inch or so big. My clownfish do the little fighting and twitching here and there but for the most part they're side by side 24/7 eat together, sleep together, fight together so I'm not too worried about them, my main concern is if a 25 gallon is enough to hold my 5 fish and shrimp, they seem to have plenty of space and seem to be having a good time if I do say so myself but I'd prefer knowing they're stress free for the long haul when they reach 3-4 inches in a couple years or so. I keep the tank at about 1.024 salinity & 78-82 degrees.
  5. I am having a 10g FOWLR housing a Firefish and Coral Banded Shrimp. I am looking to add one more fish and need some stocking ideas. Currently, the Coral Banded Shrimp always hides when lights are ON. The Firefish often gets startled and then hides. So I am looking for something bold with personality which I can enjoy seeing all the time. Also as the Firefish occupies mid and top sections of tank mostly, its good if this new fish can occupy the bottom section. I came across Hector's Goby and Blue Neon Goby but they didnt interest me much. Do you have any other suggestions please?

To add or not to add...

Another small fish, that is my question 😁 I'm quite aware this question has been asked a thousand times, and I read through quite a few of these threads. However, I'd like to be sure about my individual aquarium, before going out and buying a gorgeous fish, that I should not have bought 😁 My 20g Waterbox is currently stocked with a pair of clowns, a Tailspot Blenny (which I adore really), a cleaner shrimp and of course an assorted CUC. The first couple of months I had some trouble with stabilizing the water conditions, however at the moment I notice more steady water conditions and after 6 months there is coralline algae developing pretty much all over the aquarium. Am I correct in assuming the tank is starting to stabilize and age? (I am seeing some pineapple sponges and other filter feeders as well) Now the clowns and blenny are active, but docile and don't bother each other, nor the shrimp. The cleaner shrimp is having a ball following every bit of movement from under his rock overhang. Because I enjoy watching the livestock and their daily business so much (more then I expected actually) I am wondering if it would be possible to add another small, peacefull fish. And if so, what kind of fish? I was thinking of either a Firefish (perhaps a purple one) or a Neon Blue Goby or another type of goby? What do you guys think, would it be wise to squeeze in another fish, or would it be too cramped up in a 20g? If you guys would advice against it, you're going to cost me, because I might start considering a bigger tank πŸ˜‡

3 purple firefish in a nano (16g biocube)

Hello, I added an emerald crab and cleaner shrimp to my empty tank yesterday. I have plans to add 3 purple firefish all at once sometime this week. Im using a biocube (16g) with plenty of holes for hiding. Im not planning on adding any other fish to this tank. Has anyone had experience with exclusively 3 firefish in a tank of this size. At my LFS ive only seen them grouped in 2s and wouldnt be opposed to settling for a pair if thats more suitable for this size tank. Any advice/experience shared is appreciated.

26G Nano Reef | Coral Eden

Current FTS - 20.11.2017 Background : I’ve been a fan of Reef tanks for ages but always was afraid to start one myself so I kept myself busy with freshwater tanks. After reading a lot about them, especially this forum, I decided to start my first Nano Reef. My initial plan was to start something small, around 6 Gallons. But after going through this forum, I saw how hard it is to keep small aquariums stable. So I decided to start with a 26 Gallon. Tank : ● 26 Gallon Custom Tank with a filter compartment in the back. Altogether around 30 Gallons. Equipment : ● Resun 1000L/h Submersible Pump ● Jebao RW-4 Wavemaker ● Resun SK-300 Nano Protein Skimmer ● Zetlight ZA1201 Marine LED Light Filteration : ● 30 Pounds of Live Rock ● 15 Pounds of Live Sand ● Filter Sponge ● GAC ● Purigen Livestock: Fish: ● Firefish (Nemateleotris magnifica) x 1 ● Black Photon Clownfish (Amphiprion percula) x 2 ● Purple Firefish (Nemateleotris decora) x 1 ● Segmented Blenny (Salarias segmentatus) x 1 ● Banggai cardinalfish (Pterapogon kauderni) x 1 ● Pinkbar goby (Pinkbar goby) x 1 Inverts: ● Scarlet Skunk Cleaner Shrimp (Lysmata amboinensis) x 2 ● Trochus Snails (Trochus radiatus) x 5 ● Porcelain Anemone Crab (Neopetrolisthes oshimai) x 1 ● Indian Sea Star (Fromia indica) x 1 ● Maxi-Mini Carpet Anemone (Stichodactyla tapetum) x 2 Corals: ● Zoanthids (Zoanthus sp.) x 5 ● Mushroom Coral (Actinodiscus sp.) x 1 ● Superman Mushroom (Discosoma sp.) x 2 ● Hammer Coral (Euphyllia ancora) x 1 ● Open Brain Coral ( ? ) X 1 FTS - 11.07.2016 - First Livestock Added FTS - 11.06.2016 - Tank Established Comments are appreciated.

    Stocking order

So my new tank is cycled and has a small cuc already. 10 hermits, 5 turbo snails, and a couple of nassarius snails. I am going to add my first fish in about a week or so. I want to get a pair of clowns (1 black and white and 1 regular ocellaris). A purple firefish. and some sort of Blenny or goby (possibly 2?) its a 20 gallon tank. (Yellow watchman, clown goby, court jester, bicolor, tailspot???) Not sure yet Lol. The pair of clowns are a must, but i am up for suggestions on firefish, blennies, and gobies. I dont want to over stock either, so please let me know what your suggestions are. I would like to get clowns first, but if its a problem then obviously not. Let me know your suggestions please, I am new to this.

    New 2nd fish added

Just picked up a firefish today, my second fish. I hope my clown doesn’t bother him. Anyone have trouble with firefish and clown in a tank?
  11. Hi all, here is a link to my evo 12 with livestock. Hope it looks good and I can’t wait to get more corals in it. Sorry for the terrible editing, I had to do it on my phone since my computer is messed up.

    Firefish and Goby Compatability

Hi all, I stumbled on the forum one day at lunch and it's been a huge help! I have a Fluval M60 that has just finished cycling. I'm looking to get: -Goby/Shrimp pair -Ocellaris Clown -Purple Firefish -Royal Gamma My question is, should I think about forgetting the firefish because of the shrimp goby? Or will I likely be okay keeping the two in the tank together since the firefish is rather peaceful and the shrimp goby stays near the bottom? Thanks in advance!
  13. will it jump if kept alone without any other fish , and with some inverts?
