Nicely done @NanoRox. Almost a shame that a fish cant swim through that open space.

What's the total volume again?  Jbb, you think a flaming prawn could live in it?

  • Main Tank Volume:<= 780ml
  • Sump Filter Volume:<= 680ml

  • Main Tank: 13*7.5*8cm
  • Sump base 13*7.5*7cm (L*W*H)

Probably not but the thought has crossed my mind. Maybe could actually see it in this matchbox of a tank.

Think I found some diffuser material

Does it work? From my experience the diffuser had to sit at least 1” from the LED puck to diffuse the light. Too close and it wouldn’t diffuse it.

I haven't had it over the tank yet as I do not have the tank in my possession, but it should. Dave used to use a similar material in place of the clear lens and it worked very well. Also AI uses a diffused optic in the Hydra that is very close to the LED and it works to diffuse the light. Running it pointed at the wall it is a very noticable difference, so hopefully that tranfers to the tank.

Sounds good. Yeah I dismounted the AI lens I know what you mean but still, the disco ball effect was very noticeable on a shallow tank.

Thats why I made my own diffuser on top of that to eliminate it.

Hope this one works well for ya. Tank coming tomorrow?
