I seem to have developed a pretty bad ear infection though, so I'm hoping to get to the doctor for antibiotics first. Maybe i'll feel well enough to install it when it comes (I'm really excited!) but, I've been having a hard enough time just doing basic housework over the last few days. I feel like I'm wasting my summer break! the doser won't be in until next week. Harry, what sort of footprint will it make in the top of the tank? I'm trying to plan how I might cut the grate... The doser DOESNT go above the tank! It goes in the stand w. the 2-part bottles, and just the dosing tubes (airline sized) go into the tank. Feel better! Luckily the Tunze ATO is pretty easy to set up. Just put the "eye" tip at your desired level with the included magnets, stick the control unit wherever you want, connect the pump to the control unit, pump goes in water, and wallah! Link to comment

Put the birds nest on frag plugs as best as I could Got a red dragon acro to fill the birds nest's place. Look a little empty yep- the red dragon colony had rtn so he fragged it up. i think he also trimmed up the cali tort colony or something. really sad. looks really empty. place was crazy yesterday! It didn't, actually, since the glass was always smudged or full of condensation or salt creep. It's been really nice so far. Glad I have the ATO for sure, since I'm getting more evaporation, but that also means more gas exchange, and thus, a more stable pH. Things seem really happy so far. Everything is nice and fluffy. I miss the birds nest too, but they do grow quickly, so I'm hopeful. Maybe I'll learn to ship and send the pieces out, but for now I'm just hanging on to them so they heal and in case I find something local to trade for. New additions are looking nice. LOL I just picked up 25 feet of tubing and 2 check valves for my doser since my tubing (used over and over throughout a dozen tanks) had rips so wasn't working well Link to comment
