metrokat
This is Ju, the Japanese Pistol. He came in accidentally on a rock which had a clam on it that I purchased from a NR member. In that members tank, Ju was paired with this watchman goby 4 Quote Link to comment
holy carp
What kind of watchman is that one? Such a pretty blue, if the photo is representative. Quote Link to comment
StinkyBunny
Walter is hiding today. He made a burrow under the GSP rock. Should I try to usher him into the shrimp burrow again? Nope, they'll find each other, give them time Grasshoppa. What kind of watchman is that one? Such a pretty blue, if the photo is representative. It's either a Harbor goby or a dark phase Yellow watchman goby. 2 Quote Link to comment

I'm in the same phase with mine, only I can't even find the burrow. I know he's in there somewhere because I hear him clicking every once in a while. Waiting patiently... Walter is cute, Kat. 1 Quote Link to comment

StinkyBunny
What most people don't realize is that most pistol shrimps are herbivores. They're opportunistic scavengers, but their real love is algae. The opening of the Randalls and Tiger shrimp holes is devoid of algae. 2 Quote Link to comment

metrokat
You betta make up your mind about your tank, that rock is in GRAVE danger of ending up in my systems. The new tank (if it happens) is going to be in August, I have some vacation I'm looking forward to before that. It's a small tank so I'm probably going to make my own rocks using emaco and gulf live rock. If I can't use gulf rock then I'll use rubble rock. I don't like using dry, rubble or not but I may not have a choice. Quote Link to comment
StinkyBunny
Oh, you'll have a choice, I'm keeping some in reserve. I don't think many people will pay $10/lb for it. Quote Link to comment

StinkyBunny
Not really, most of the pieces in there are 6-10" with some smaller and very few boulders. 90% of it is flat stuff too. Quote Link to comment

metrokat
Hopefully they've fixed the HLLE issues when raising the tangs. Still early. They're only 50mm big right now I believe. Rising Tide has been posting pictures of all the stages, on Facebook. 1 Quote Link to comment
metrokat
Should I be feeding my tang some nori? I have Julians mixed seaweeds which are little strips of 3 kinds of seaweed. I haven't seen her actually eat those but they're not floating about in the tank either after I feed them. Okay, scratch that. She eats her veggies. 2 Quote Link to comment
