My bad... this is what I was looking at. http://www.amazon.com/CyberPower-CP1500AVRLCD-Intelligent-1500VA-Mini-Tower/dp/B000FBK3QK/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1403187126&sr=8-5&keywords=battery+backup

I wonder what size the actual battery is inside the vortech, that would determine how long the pump could last on one.

I had it last over 72 hours for a single Mp10, during a crazy snow storm.

We are hobbyists ourselves, too, so what you worried is what we also worried, and rest assured it will be made in such a way that it will be easy to take apart and cleaned. If you could afford a jebao then you could afford a Riptide, wink wink.

So how to I pre-order one?!?!

***Edit: I guess I should have read every page. LOL!

no no no, how will i ever survive that long!

IKR, I don't have an actual need for a new pump...but I want one! Trying to decide between this and an RW-4...I really like this design better but need more info about dialed down flow rates and such to make a decision.

Well I created a little gyre in my pico, it's pretty awesome. Except it can't reverse direction so after the initial storm of detritus, it's all quiet on the reef.

I thought about making a spray bar to run across the top back of the false wall I would still have another pump in the main display. I wanted slow flow through the back chambers for a fuge so the return pump is only a Rio 50. At least the Hydor Nano vanishes into the background somewhat.

Dang really? My self control to hold off on an MP-10 is diminishing lol

This! Haha. I found an mp40 locally for $100. Traded it for an mp10 plus cash.

<--- has a nano. Needs to see a riptide nano in action.

This.

Although it's fun to see to a 300 gallon system, I think we need to see the nano in action already.
