albertthiel
Look inside the circle Albert, this is classic early stage pinched mantle syndrom. Yes I can see it now Zeph ... and to the left of it not circled there seems to be another sign of it as well .. Link to comment
metrokat
Yes I can see it now Zeph ... and to the left of it not circled there seems to be another sign of it as well .. I believe the PM is only visible in the circle, the spot on the left is the natural coloration of the mantle. Link to comment

Actually now that I look at it again I do not see any pinching there .. must need to go to the eye doctor I guess but then at 69 that is not unusual ... :-) Albert Link to comment

MNewman
Yes it looks indeed like they are going to need a lot of TLC to bring them back but IMO if you follow Zeph's suggestion you have a good chance of bringing them back Have you had experience with keeping clams before is also one of my questions Albert Hello again, Yes I have had clams from day one of being in this addicting hobby. My gigas looks to be dealing with the PM disease well as some days the affected lobe of the mantle fully extends 100 percent. I just received my chemi pure and poly filters from UPS today so the time is coming. I think it would be better to FWD him at night to reduce the stress of the lights being on, but I know with the lights being on his mantle might open up more??? Pic from 3 months ago.. nickijon
Hi folks, Do you believe I should immediately perform a 5-10 min FWD? Sir babyclam pictured below arrived yesterday, was acclimated, and placed on watch in my shallow frag tank. Lights off for 5 hours, then pics were taken 3-4 hours after lights on. I put him on a frag plug so he wouldn't tip over (as easily). Does he appear to show early signs of PMD?...maybe I am paranoid. He reacts to shadows and stuff. Link to comment
jedimasterben
Please tell me you didnt glue a clam to a frag plug. Link to comment
