wowzers! is it true that xenia can grow out of control?.. whats the myths and truths? should i get one?

They certainly can, but they can also all die suddenly without warning. Their spread is dependant on how you control them though. Keep them on a plug in the sand away from the glass or rock where they can attach to, and they won't spread much if any. Once on a rock or the glass, then they go to town multiplying and splitting.

DeMartini, what camera do you use for your pictures if I may ask??

IS it BAD to let them multiply? Is there any harm to it?

Whatever camera she uses ROCKS! She has some of the best pics I have seen yet!!

It's a Cannon Powershot SD550, someone asked her like 12 pages ago.

DM,

Do you use a Tripod for your Macro Shots?

I have a PS440 and it's not even CLOSE to the quality of hers... maybe she just has that MAGIC touch! whatever it is, it WORKS!!

Totally missed that, my apologies. My S1 IS should have similar quality then...

As for xenia, it's not bad itself for it to multiply, but it can get onto rocks where it'll block the light to things like GPS and zoas, and it'll definitely compete rather agressively for space, as in choke others out. It doesn't wage chemical war though like other corals.

Al,

Your 440 is a 5Mega Pixel camera, the SD550 is a 7MP camera, so she's starting with a higher resoultion before re-sizing. The macro focus mode on the SD550 looke to be very good too. If she's not using a tripod, then the camera has some kinda wobble compensation in Macro mode.

It's just a better camera.

D,

I am always amazed at the quality of the pictures you take. Very nice. I thought my xenia was nice, but yours blows it away.

Do you dose Iodide?

Thanks

I also have some questions, do you still have the 2 percs? I was told by a LFS that they look nicer, but not as hardy as false clowns.

what should I do?.. true false true false...

also size!!! i heard true can get up to 3 inches?!!! isnt that too big for my BC 14?..
