New mp10 on the way. Man these guys couldn't be easier to deal with. Jeff Merten was the guy who helped me.

Tossed the rest of the starfish into the long. Got tired of it laying around in the hex doing nothing but contributing to the bioload. Needless to say the shrimp, who has moved maybe half an inch in a week, is now going ninja on it.

Yeah I want diff colored monti's as ledges on the rock column in the hex. Should look cool.

I just hope you don't plan on having stuff under those montis. It will definitely look cool though, but limit the amount of corals in the tank. Some cool perching fish would be sweet in there, sitting on the montis.

Think spiral staircase with montis as stairs. Those are the only corals I want in the tank as of now. I can't think of anything else that would look good.

Some branching SPS would be awesome in there, along with the montis and BTA. Imagine the branching stuff, like some nice birdsnest, digitata and acros growing out into the water column. I think some duncans and torch would be nice also.

Edit: I think that coral beauty limits what you can have in the tank. Hmmm. I think you would be ok with the SPS though... maybe not the LPS.

Hah! Was a half hour in photoshop while watching frontline after getting home from my violin lesson.

So my one little hitchhiker crab I rarely see was out in force last night and man has it grown. Caught him parked at the bottom of the purple birdsnest happily munching away. The 20L operates on a 1-strike-you-die rule so I went for the Tweezers of Death. Hit him with the flashlight, he froze, and I actually got him in the tweezers. I couldn't believe it. Started to lift him out and dropped him... Waited around for 20 minutes but he never ventured out into Vengeance range again.

But his number is up...

More of the sps has been stripped clean, the crab is nowhere to be seen and I have been watching the 4 stripe damsel hovering at the frag and picking at it. So reef safe my ass WTF.

The 4 stripe has stripped off the bottom third of this frag now. I don't wtf to do. To get him out I will have to drain the tank down to an inch or two based on how hard he was to fish out of the hex. Don't have time to do it today.

He's gone completely rogue. At this point 'best case' is he just keeps eating off that one coral and doesn't decide to expand the menu.

Why the trouble? You have a very open layout? Which coral was he nipping at?

He is eating this

I have to head to a meeting here so I can't mess around with him right now. When he was in the hex, I couldn't catch him until I drained the tank down to a bout 2 inches of water. Too fast, and small enough to hole up in the nearest cave.

Just make a trap. Cut open a 2 litre bottle put some food in there and have your net hovering near by. When he goes into investigate cover the top and bam you have yourself a caught damsel.
