Picked up a few little surprises yesterday but i am getting some way cool, rare sps in a week or so (Travis...I know you will like these ones ) I think i want to get a calcium reactor also. I am going to get one for my next tank after I move so i figure that i might as well just get one now especially with all the holiday and birthday money coming. Link to comment

Then, soon has everything stableizes I'm going to buy the SPS, and maybe we can get that deal going. I'd go with a Kalk Dripper instead of the Calcium reactor, unless your are prepared to deal with the alk swings and lows. Link to comment
Pili Posted December 2, 2005 Share Posted December 2, 2005 I dont know...my calcium is pretty low for an sps even with dosing b-ionic so i dont know if a kalk reactor would be able to bring it up above 400 constantly. Why would there be more of a alk swing with Ca reactor than a kalk reactor though? They both work on the same principal except that CO2 is used initially to dissolve the media in a Ca Reactor.
