Snow's 10G Critters of Chaos (TOTM)

I'll quickly go over all the minor adjustments I made to the tank today. 

 

I moved one of the smaller base rocks at the front of the tank to the back right corner. Mainly because it was unsightly after being infested with GHA, and even after trimming and pruning, it still looked terrible. 

 

 

 

By moving it to the back, I'm now using it as a support to prop up the flat vertical ledge that hosts my lepto, fungias and pavona, as well as support the separate branching LR that hosts both my leathers and some shrooms. 

 

By clearing up some space at the front, I could shuffle my acans around a bit and they are now more visible. 😊👍

 

 

 

I decided to rotate the rock that hosts my Ironman discosoma as well. Mainly because my shroom wasn't too happy being shoved towards the darker corner of the tank:

 

 

The tiny toadstool had to be pulled forward and closer towards the incredibly angry zoas. 

 

All the moving around, shuffling and tinkering has definitely made some of the polyps unhappy. 😅

 

And of course, me being me, with my clumsy butter-fingers, knocked off *both of my trumpet coral frags from Coralline Ledge. 🙄

 

I quickly re-glued them to the rocks, but spaced them out a bit so that the polyps aren't squished against each other too much:

I also shifted my duncan a bit to move it away from the GSP tower. And to make sure more polyps are facing frontview (for better pics) 😅 : 

 

 

 

Oh! And my forest fire rhodactis finally split over the course of the day today! I now have 2 of them. 🥰

Just noticed that one of my tiny red fungias have now developed 2 mouths. 😄

 

 

Also, one of my trumpet coral frags had a head that was slowly splitting into 2 yesterday. Today the split is more evident and the heads are distinguishable from each other:

 

 

The lepto also looks better today. 👍

 

 

And one of the pavona fraglet are rippling up slowly. 🥰

 

 

One small section of the leptastrea is slightly bleached, but should recover in time. I'll keep an eye on it. 👀

WC due today, but I'll be pushing it until next week (most likely), since my whole family will be prepping for my grandmother's 80th birthday celebration this weekend. We'll be hosting a small party at a small local church, so quite a bit of things to sort out. 🌺

 

I'm not directly involved in the planning, but I'll probably be in-and-out of the house a fair bit, so all my tanks will take a backseat. 👍

After I shut down my 60G, I discovered a lot of molly fry in that tank and managed to scoop most of them out:

 

 

 

Needless to say, I didn't have the heart to toss them to my bigger fish, so the nano now serves as a nursery:

 

 

The fry are incredibly small compared to Spark:

 

 

 

Also, there was another molly from the 60G which I didn't give away when I sold the big tank, and it now lives in the nano. Meet Domino! 🥰

 

 

 

The tank is filthy. I'm long overdue for a WC, and I was set on doing it today, but I had some pretty bad muscle cramps this morning. I decided to rest it out and wait another day. 👍

 

Once the WC is done, I'll upload more pics. There's a lot of algae to remove though, so I'll mostly be preoccupied with pruning rather than changing the water.

I managed to do some extensive cleaning and pruning today. Also did a WC, but what usually takes ~1 hour to accomplish took me ~2.5+ hours. 😔

 

Am quite drained, but I now have a headache. I couldn't eradicate all the GHA, but the worst of it was yanked out. My tank's still upset, so a lot of corals are shrunken and moody. Might take a day or two before everything perks up again. 👍
