Snow_Phoenix
Shrimpy lurking at the back. 🦐 Gave up on trying to return this tiny yuma to the yuma pile because Pickle the clownfish insists on decorating this part of the tank *her way. Blurry cropped & zoomed in shot of the Malayan rainbow acans which has a tiny new head in one corner: Weeping willow toadstool looking lush: Duncan surrounded by frags: Tentatively thinking of picking up either a porcelain or pom pom crab in the future. What do you guys think? 1 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Did a WC yesterday. Here are some coral shots today: 😊 And yep, the garf bonsai is definitely not improving. 😕 I also moved the rocks on the sandbed around to create a thicker/broader barricade between the yuma pile and the rainbow brain coral. Speaking of the rainbow brain, Pickle took a chunk out if it during hosting a few days back, and one part of it has been stripped to the skeleton. Hoping it'll bounce back. It's been quite resilient in the past. 😕 1 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
I picked up 5 new shrooms from the LFS today. 🥰 Green hairy shroom: Striped green leopard and unknown yellow-spotted green discosoma: Not sure what this is, but it was so unusually vivid that I had to double my ISO to capture it: Acid green rhodactis: 1 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Weeping willow has become rather large. 😊 Not sure, but I *think I now have 7 candy cane heads instead of 6. 🤔 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Monthly FTS taken today on 20/09/22: The Ironman is splitting. Some of the zoas have melted away too because I neglected the tank for 2 weeks, which sucks. 😔 But a few other random pieces have grown over the past month. 👍 2 Quote Link to comment

debbeach13
I think at this point you might have a larger variety of mushrooms than many LFS's. 1 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
Still waking up for the morning - I like how the colors are more compressed and vivid when the shrooms are still shrunken. 😅 Mushroom Mountain topview shots: Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Acid green rhodactis next to the unknown ultra-green discosoma that I recently picked up: A row of Superman discosomas (2 shrooms were fragged off the mountain and traded in at the store) : Ironman discosomas: Green watermelon discosoma: Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Another unknown (and a tad pricey) shroom that I picked up - it has yellow splotches and tiny white bumps. Feel like it has a name of its own, but I'm unsure. 🤷♀️ Green hairy shrooms - I kept this isolated a little because they can expand quite a fair bit and sometimes sting other shrooms: Green leopard variant (has lighter green stripes) : Forest fire rhodactis and friends: A leopard variant with multiple colors: Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
The two new shrooms: Topview shots - the tricolor rhodactis has been faring poorly for the past ~1 week. I have a sense it might melt away soon. 😔 Green bullseye rhodactises next to the watermelon discosoma: Also, I counted the amount of trumpet heads and I now have 7! 🥰 Harvey trampling on my zoas: 😅 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
Tank is due for a WC tomorrow, but I'm planning on doing it today instead. Here are some shrooms this morning - enjoy! 🥰 Quote Link to comment
Snow_Phoenix
WCed the tank today and did some intense clean up which spanned across ~2 hours. Also cleaned out the filter thoroughly and rinsed the chambers with vinegar because there was a *lot of gunk adhering to the plastic walls. My acro was STNing again, and I could only salvage the tips. I might eventually lose it, which sucks. I also seem to have misplaced my orange yuma. I *know it's somewhere in the tank, but Pickle the clownfish has a tendency to rescape her quarters at night and toss a few shrooms around. Did a wellness check on all the inverts and fish - everyone is looking good so far. Harvey the saron shrimp had another successful molt some time last night. My Zoa Garden has lost its luster though. The main Zoa Ledge is a bit unhealthy, and I have lost easily 2/3rds of my Gold Maul polyps. 😞 I noticed there were a few vermetids that had popped up on that rock, so I believe it has been stinging some of the polyps and eventually caused them to shrivel away. I crushed a few vermetids during the last WC, but it looks like I have more crushing to do. Everything is still a bit moody after the WC, which is expected. The tank should settle down and re-balance after 24 hours. At least Speedy the damsel is having fun zooming around between all the hidden caves and arches! 1 Quote Link to comment
