Update on my 7.4 gallon peninsula. Love this little tank. It’s so simple, using water change water from my 65g mixed reef. The macro algae in this display sucks up all the extra nutrients. Been a super low maintenance tank.

Just won a 9.9 in a raffle.   Have a 125 running.  Any skimmer advise for this tiny back sump?

I second what @famousdan314 said. Macro algae is your friend in these smaller tanks. If your heart is set on using a skimmer, I think a reefglass skimmer would work 😊

MEDIA BASKETS!

A little weekend project for the 4.1 gallon (or more like a 3 week project that was cranked out in a weekend 😬) Hopefully all my blood sweat and many, many tears are worth it! You know who you are!😂😉

Hey everyone,

It's Reeferbarrah84,  I'm super glad to see this page has taken off Since I started it back in July of 2019!  Now I'm sure many of you who've posted here would like me to make quick links to everyone's threads in the original thread post as a directory to other club members , new and established. Whoever is interested, please indicate on the thread page

Haha sure. These media baskets were just for fun, but if someone wants a custom basket/acrylic gadgetry I'd be willing to make them one.

That's actually quite awesome . I know, at least when I first started the thread, no one made any acrylic accessories, ie filter pad holders, tiered  media baskets, etc for these tanks. If Intank hasn't done it yet, I'd say seize the opportunity and get a product line going for all of the Lifegard Crystal AIO tanks. I'd suggest making an initial protype line and post pics of them on this thread.

Also, turns out they make a basket for the 24 & 9.98 rectangular tanks, but they seem over priced. Let us know what you'd consider offering!

We really can’t thank RDA enough for the inspiration he has given to this community.

InTank aquatics will be releasing their media basket for the 4.1 in January. I’m sure they will be making more models in the future. Although awesome, will I even need it? Stay tuned for more...☺️

I say we support Rainy Day over in-tank. Time to let the smaller companies to get going over the established.  Just my 2 cents

I totally agree! That is why I said stay tuned for more...☺️

Awesome creation RDA! She fits like a glove. InTank Aquatics can take a back seat on this one. Really loving the UV orange color combo! Thanks again.😃

Looks amazing! It's kind of funny, but being the OP, I've been slacking on getting one of these tanks myself. I'm planning on getting this within the next week or two. I wish they had a bigger peninsula, but I think it works well for a nano. I am however eyeballing the fijicube 38 peninsula to as something for an sps dominant system 😉

Thanks! I’m really happy with it! 😃

Oh yea, I like the idea of peninsula tanks, although I’ve never had one myself. I think they would look great on a kitchen bar with views from the kitchen and living room. I’m so impressed with the build quality of these little tanks.

I'm definitely excited for it. This is where I'm thinking about putting it.  But not sure if the surface is wide enough

Totally random,  but what light are you running there?

Also,

@The Rainy Day Aquarium

How do you like those lights you're using in that pic?

I’m using a Kessil A360X. A bit overpowered, but the fit and form works out great for this tank.

Wow, this really means a lot to me! Haha it's kind of weird to now see something that I made being used on someone else's tank. I hope you like it! (Although I have to admit you might be getting an updated basket that addresses the "pizzazz"😂 I'm a perfectionist so it kind of bugs me 😥

I've never really had any intentions of selling equipment and such honestly. I'm just a hobbist with a few extra toys so I can tinker with making my own stuff instead of buying them lol. I suppose if there was enough interest I could make a line of products for these tanks, but I really can't see myself selling them for much more than cost as I know how expensive this hobby can be haha.

So far I really like the lights that I'm using! Are they perfect? No. But I really don't think you will find a better light for the money IMO.
