thecoralbeauty
Gaaaaa HES NOT BACK YET! IM SORRY! yea, it's actually probably good for me. i need to learn to exercise control over my clam kleptomania. i'd have like 500 of them if they weren't at least $120 a clam here. smh. oh, also, i assume you're officially out of school for the summer- so congratulations. I wish my students would go home and reef. Hopefully I've inspired a few of my 8th graders at least as they go off and become high schoolers. Link to comment

What to do, what to do. Go over to home depot, buy some 1/4 cheap glass and silicon and make a frag tank? Thats a fun DIY project if I don't kill myself Link to comment
Prisonfood53
Yeah that didn't go well. Spent about 35 minutes just trying to get of a BIT of the trim, and epically failed. Trim, even in that little section, is still attached. Unlike a chunk of flesh on my finger. Perhaps Home Depot glass? Growl acrylic? You should check craigslist for a 20 long that would be half of the 40. I just gave one away for free. Link to comment

I don't want something 30" x 12" x 12", not what I'm looking for. Something along 24x24x8, or 30x20x8 Im going to HD since its cheap glass and a fun project Link to comment
HarryPotter
So I came home with two pieces of 18x24 acrylic. (.25) What should I do? (Dimensions wise?) Link to comment
HarryPotter
I am thinking a 18x16 frag tank, with 8 inch sides. What do you think? 1st piece would give me: 18x16 bottom 18x8 side Second piece would give me 18x8 side 18x8 side 18x8 side Link to comment

HarryPotter
dont hate on my dimensions!!! Haha for a FRAG tank! I still need to (figure out how to) cut the acrylic and order weld on. Link to comment
HarryPotter
So some people say you can just "Score and Snap" the acrylic- any experience with this anyone? I believe it is .22, great for a shallow frag tank. I have Weld on 4 w. applicator on the way, and just need to make the cuts! Link to comment
HarryPotter
Has anyone seen the Advanced Acrylics frag tanks? For under $150 and free shipping, they look pretty amazing! Is that pricing not remarkably low? All in one frag tanks! Link to comment

If there is a tap plastics around you I would just buy the material from them cut to size and they would carry the weld solvent. Good luck. Link to comment
