I thought the snails were tumbling it until I saw it expend it's foot last night and suddenly snap shut and move itself. They sort of flop themselves one way or another, i've noticed it has more to do with how the flow moves across them than anything else. Also, know that when it attaches, it'll probably be permanent, so re-arranging options MIGHT be limited, depending on if you can get it off or not. but you already knew that. It's still alive and I don't do anything special for it. So... I think it could use more light but I don't trust it on the rocks. And I bet it gets some food from the reef roids I target feed my corals and get blown around Quote Link to comment
righttirefire Posted October 9, 2015 Author Share Posted October 9, 2015 Tank cleaned this morning, as always. But today it was a sump clean out. First chamber clean out, im suprised the first chamber is almost 5 gallons. The extra filter socks are hang drying. Just waiting for lights up. My little purple and green encrusted monti jumped off its rock into the sand sometime yesterday. The acans took amount of food Wednesday and feeding tenticles were out last night, first time in ages. The maxima was relocated onto the rock perch. And lastly I'm assuming the same snail that knocked off my monti also dislodged the green and purple plating monti. In other news, my LFS will be open soon. And if the hybrid hammer is still there it might be coming home with me. I know better than to bring home a sick coral. But one head hasn't been doing great. Maybe a 40 breeder today. Put it in the attic while I'm putting camp gear and a/c's units up there. What the girl doesn't know can't hurt me... right? Quote Link to comment

righttirefire Posted October 26, 2015 Author Share Posted October 26, 2015 Well... I'm a little over disappointed. I've honestly not been enjoying my tank lately, last 2 weeks or so. I haven't had a chance to just sit and enjoy. Monday and Wednesday night I get 1.5 hours before lights out. To feed and enjoy my tank. I do a water change during the weekend and feed again on sunday. But these last couple have just been pulling me ever direction but toward my tank. I had to take 2 acros back to the LFS Saturday because they weren't doing well in my system. They're going to try and "nurse" them back. We'll see. I'm keeping up on my maintance, not going to let the system go, but in my mind the tank is "full" and needs to grow out. I'm not discovering new life anymore. I'm not researching new additions. I've got my new system planned out. Just trying to keep motivation 10/17/15 09/06/15 - 2 days after addition Nanobox expected to deliver... WEDNESDAY! Quote Link to comment
