Decided to grab a Radion until I can get my light from Dave and get it up. Need something this weekend, My kids are here all next week and I'm getting married next weekend. Even if the Nanobox Hybrid gets here I won't have time to get it up. Headed to my LFS now.

Not exactly, guy sold his setup to the LFS. Guy bought two of these less then 7 months ago. Paid practically nothing for this light. It's like brand new with hanging kit. I will be selling for what i paid, so anyone interested be on the lookout for a dirt cheap G3 Radion Pro in a week or two

Skimmer pump shit out on me..... great

Well, my skimmer was acting up, and the impeller shaft broke. It was struggling and stopping then the impeller broke. Might just buy a whole new pump as i am not sure if the pump acting up broke the impeller of if the impeller was already broken? ugh!

Anyway, removed the skimmer and cleaned it up. Now trying to find somewhere to get parts?!

 

My LFS has a new NYOS -Quantum Skimmer I might try out, looked pretty boss and the pump is internal.

Nice grab on a radion. Found a gen 1 for $250. Eventually upgrade it to gen 3 for the extra $175 when the time comes. But I'm loving this light.

Yeah, I have no idea what happened to the pump. Like I said, my LFS has a NYOS Quantum 120 skimmer I am tempted to grab...... They look amazing

Talked to Jen @ prolineaquatics) at the suggestion of Bulkreefsupply.com. She was excellent and very helpful! If anyone has an issue with ANY Vertex stuff they are the people to contact for parts. Sending me 2x impellers to see if that fixes the issue before replacing the pump. Explained the skimmer shouldn't be plugged into my Apex as they have had issues with controllers sending surges of power when starting the pump and it causes failures on the ceramic shafts.

 

Raised the light a little....looks better.

They are sending me another Impeller for this Vertex. This Vertex is a skimming FOOL, so no need to upgrade unless this one can't be fixed. 400.00 buys a LOT of corals, and I need some of those! lol.

Back from my wedding! What an awesome time! Thought I'd throw a few pics up. I will catch slack for this, buuuut.....

He just got done crushing a ton of live blackworms. Super healthy and friendly.

 

Got the male Anthias too, cause I can...

 

Pretty much out of room for fish, but happy with what I have. Found a local shop that sells live black worms, can hook my fish up daily with them for cheap, so they will become part of the staple. Hoping my new inpeller gets here, might sell the Vertez still and grab that NYOS skimmer.

Going for the new skimmer I think, light should be here NLT Friday according to Dave, Radion Sold it looks like. Also planning to throw together a FUGE light and get some chaeto this week....gonna have to go back in the thread and see which light it was NGAHillbilly was using again.
