Not actual "petco" labeled stuff, they don't sell that at mine. It's some other odd brand made of argonite. It's super cheap compared to the other crap they have. I think $15 for 20 lbs which I think is even cheaper than the petco brand. Makes me think its the "shoppers value" of sand. lol Link to comment

It's a little wet in the bag, but does have some dustiness compared to the super watered bag sand. I got this at petsmart. It was $40 for 30lbs. Mostly dry, so a good deal. And it's aragonite. Yah I swished mine in tap water (the tap is good here so I don't fret about the little amount that stays on the sand). It clouded the tank but it cleared up pretty quick. Filter sock ftw!Filter socks can clear up my clouds of new sand quickly. I love em and hate em at the same time though. Link to comment

You get your imp kites worth and it doesn't have all those big chunks in it, that I hat. My 60 accidentally has the aragonite with chunks, and I was so mad I bought it. Now I get the sand I wanted. My 45g has petco off-brand sand.. The all white dry stuff? I've never sen anything but the natures ocean or whatever. None of them I really like. I have like 45-50lbs (40 of wet, and like 5-10 if that of old dry I had here) in my 40B to get my desired amount of just to the top of the trim which is what I have ran for years. Link to comment

It took roughly 70 lbs for my 60. I'm thinking I'll have more than enough for this one. tried it. Cad is sending out today, but I'm still a little worried about the fit with the bottom panel then. I'm crossing my fingers that everything works out. Sucks that I now have a tank and sump and also the pieces of the stand laying all over the house. I'm happy with cads quick response in getting this out today, hoping it gets here by Friday.
