I'm off to Sydney and then we're popping over to Calgary to visit some friends and family. If you're around we should try grab a beer or something.

Enjoy Sydney :). Spring has started well over here, some nice mild weather :).

agreed.........

Hope your doing well- looking forward to seeing how your tank is coming along!

Must have new pics!

Hey Shaun think it's time to update bro

Greetings all, sorry for being MIA for so long, I was travelling for all of November and have been catching up on work the last 10 days.

While I was away I took the the sump taken offline to minimise maintenance and potential issues - it was pretty much on auto-pilot for 5 weeks and amazingly nothing major went wrong or died while I was away. The tank got overfed and there was some serious cyano when I got home, it looks pretty terrible. But I have the sump back online and I've managed to nearly rid the tank of nasties.

I'm doing some cleaning this weekend and will take a few pictures once everything is settled down. Nothing much has changed since the reboot as I never really added anything before the trip. I went to a few LFSs over the week and there's a pretty depressing selection at the moment. I need so SPS in my life. :lol:

Anyway, it's good to be back. :) Looking forward to catching up on everyones tanks.

He broke the tank down and gave me all of his frags :)

:lol:

Quick Update - December 13, 2015;

Took a photo this morning of the tank as it is stands currently. It's cleared up a lot since I got home but is still pretty dirty and naked as far as coral goes - I'm happy with the scape and am looking forward to bringing this one to life. More photos to follow soon.

Really love the little Convict Tang, it needs a little more fattening up but it's the first purpose bought fish I've had that did what I wanted. :lol: It just grazes all day long.

BTA Rescue;

I picked up this BTA a few months back from a LFS, it had been eaten by a powerhead and about 1/4 was left. It's looking healthy now and rather beautiful IMO.
