ninjamyst Posted May 23, 2014 Author Share Posted May 23, 2014 So I been noticing alot of nasty on my filter pad after just a day or two so I got some Dr. Tim's Waste Away coming in the mail tomorrow. Will see if that helps with detritus buildup and "dirty" stuff in my tank. Sad news...I think the zoa nudibranchs killed the new super bright bam bam zoas I got a few weeks ago. Blah. Just noticed it today that they are melting. Did a quick dip in Revive, but they dont look so hot. Link to comment
ninjamyst Posted May 28, 2014 Author Share Posted May 28, 2014 Took some pics over the weekend. Scored a really really nice bright lime green hammer at the LFS along with more zoas. Also got a firefish again. It hides alot but comes out for feeding. I notice the damsel picks on it when it's out so I may take the damsel back to LFS. Notice more algae lately so gonna scrub the rocks tonight and change out the media filters. First, a new FTS! ninjamyst Posted May 30, 2014 Author Share Posted May 30, 2014 Soooo....I ordered 6 maxi mini from Morgan at ReefGardener. They arrived today, but only 5 =(. Morgan forgot one of them. It's a pretty lavendar / blue one. I think she's hoarding it =P. She also warned me that the orange one may have been stung by another coral prior to shipment, and it definitely shows. One side doesn't look that healthy. I added them all to the tank and a nice red one already crawled into a ledge and can't see it anymore. ARGH. Need to figure out a plan to lure it back out. Really happy with the colors for all of them. They sure are sticky too. In clown news, the onyx and snowflake are not fighting as much but the snowflake is still chasing it around once in awhile. They are both a lot more active than when they were all by themselves. I also like having the damsel in the Spec V. I can see it much clearer now that it is not blending into the backwall. Seems like it comes in waves, sometimes you see a bunch of so-so and other times they're all colorful and beautiful, like those seemed to be. I bet your pics will be glorious. Link to comment

When I asked Morgan about it, she said she gave me wrong ones....so much for WYSIWYG...but they all look great so I guess I can't complain. All 5 on the tree rock. They're still all very pretty. yea, just kinda a bummer that i didn't get the ones i picked out. they are close in color kinda. Link to comment

I love your Rics! This tank has very much inspired a good deal of what I have in my Nuvo 8. Actually, it looks like we have to have some of the same taste as I got a new toxic green hammer and plate coral Memorial Day Weekend as well. Anyways, I just wanted to stop by and let you know to keep up the great work and take a minute to check out my tank. I would love to get your opinion! Link to comment
