opaquelace
So sad to hear about some tank deaths for you! My husband and I have been slowly losing some LPS. Testing says everything is fine, so not sure what's going on, but it happens. Thankfully all the fish are still kicking and the softies are doing well. Just keep going! Link to comment

FishBrawler
They are only a few dollars online. Imho I don't think someone would pay for shipping on something worth that little. Why are you getting rid of it? Link to comment
bencollinz
He's banished to my fuge for what I belive was him coral eating. I now have dragon's breath in my dt, which he'd eat. And I'm pretty sure he's eating my macro in the fuge. So... He gots to go. Link to comment
FishBrawler
Its good if he eats refugium algae because that is further removing it from the system. You eventually have to remove the algae anyways! I see no harm! Link to comment

FishDooD65
Nice to see you getting back on track. I just had a heater malfunction, it got stuck on. I lost my purple firefish and two headed hammer coral. everything else seems to be ok for now. Sh*t happens lol Link to comment
FishBrawler
*macro algae I'm just taking all algae in the refugium. Doesnt have to be macro! Hair, bubble, ect. I would keep him unless he is eating it faster than its being produced! Link to comment

It must be physically removed from the system to lower the overall nutrient level. Link to comment

Yes it must be manually removed, but it does help a little in the consumsion. They point of a refugium is to harvest but its not doing harm I don't think. Link to comment

Nutrients in must equal nutrients out or there will be an excess. All that happens in the consuming and processing is that it is transferred into something else, it is a constant cycle. All that happens in the consuming and processing is that it is transferred into something else, it is a constant cycle. I know conservation of mass but nutrience in does not equal the same amount of nutrience out. It is used in other processes that make it not nutrience. Non the less, the way I said it was obviously phrased wrong of what I ment. Link to comment
