TheKleinReef
I accidentally cut my finger open working in the tank yesterday and The frogspawn brushed up the wound, now I can't bend that finger without excruciating pain. Is that a coincidence? Or did the frogspawn cause my finger to swell up a bit and hurt? Quote Link to comment

There may be an infection if there is a lot of swelling. 3 Quote Link to comment
picoreef78
Remember some of the marine Vibrio sps of bacteria. Agree, keep a close eye on it and soap and water washing a few times a day. 2 Quote Link to comment

metrokat
Peroxide wash it. Go to ER if you have to don't wait for the finger to become the size of your head. 1 Quote Link to comment

Mr. Microscope
Beyond the reef really stepped up their game. ORA pink stylo and ORA red digi are now mine! Is this a LFS? Quote Link to comment
TheKleinReef
Is this a LFS? yeah, on Golf Rd. in Schaumburg. Their maricultured sps tank used to be 10x better but then they switched lighting from halide/LED to kessils. (big mistake). but they now carry ORA sps which is awesome. Their fish selection is still lacking IMO, some cools tuff, but pretty pricey. 1 Quote Link to comment
TheKleinReef
Finger is fine. No more pain or swelling, still a tad stiff, but I did have surgery on this finger a few years ago. Productive night last night too! I changed the cartridges in my RODI and made some frags for the reefwise meet up. 2 Quote Link to comment

So proud of you your parents. I did my part! but yes, my parents did an amazing job. I think it's because i tend to over complicate things and they just keep it simple. they test the big 4, do 10G water change weekly, and feed. i was so caught up in finding the right balance that i was messing everything up. march 2014: https://flic.kr/p/my8R4P'>https://flic.kr/p/my8R4P'>Untitled by https://www.flickr.com/people/113969537@N03/'>xMrKleinReef, on Flickr december 2014: https://flic.kr/p/qjrjyb'>https://flic.kr/p/qjrjyb'>_RMK1687.jpg by https://www.flickr.com/people/113969537@N03/'>xMrKleinReef, on Flickr Advice with Roger: anyone who's going through anything similar: just keep it simple. test what you need, do the water changes, and feed a lot. a healthy well fed system is wayyyyy more stable that a system you're consistently tinkering with. 4 Quote Link to comment
