violinist
Going to be a busy day for the tanks. Going to hit home depot after I get my starbucks fix and pick up another 5g bucket or two. WC for the long has been mixing all night. The extra buckets will let me do a massive tank drain and get the damsels out. Then off to the lfs to check out some replacements... Link to comment
Weetabix7
Can't wait to see what you end up getting! I've always liked this tank. Link to comment
violinist
The damsel problem has been solved. Off to find replacements. Also yanked the two blue trumpets that guy gave me a couple weeks ago. I don't want ugly in the tank, even if it's free ugly. Link to comment
Arkayology
You still need to get a clam sir. Don't forget! Too bad about the damsel though. Link to comment

Wife wants to go with so this will probably be all about 'pretty fish' and another round of explaining why we can't bring home twenty of them. Don't worry about the damsels, they found a nice new home heheh. Link to comment
bitts
ah, come on. how long does it take to go ta the fish store. Link to comment
violinist
Haha, the store with the good fish selection is a hike. Plus it's shopping, and the wife came, so it takes longer... New inmates are acclimating now. The lucky four: - Flame Hawk - Sunburst Anthia - 6 line wrasse (she insisted, so maybe third time's the charm...) - Chalk basslet Only murder-box action I could see coming from this is the hawk eating the harlequin shrimp, but I figured I'd chance it. Worst case I'm out buying a 12 dollar starfish every month for food. Pics this evening. Link to comment
hlander
Dont sunburst anthias need pretty large tanks? Link to comment
nemmy
Imma need me a sig too... when i have something in my tank picture worthy for it... Maybe after the upgrade.. Link to comment
OClownsandNanos
Dang I can't even get to the LFS this weekend to get one tailspot blenny and you've already got four new fish? Lucky duck! I'm debating with myself over an anthias (bicolor) for my breeder eventually, so I'm a-waiting on your pics too . . . Link to comment
violinist
Got them all except for the bass. He's slowly venturing back out into the open, after running behind the eater since the blenny went nuts every time the basslet would enter any freaking cave in the tank. Apparently the blenny owns all the caves gtfo bass. "third time's the charm" 6-line: Sunburst anthia (I was right the first time, it is sunburst - 30g tank is what I read) One of the blenny just because. Then the hawk! Everyone but the anthia had some rod's food, so things are off to a good (and mostly peaceful) start. Link to comment

Arkayology
Wow, nice additions man. That Hawk is awesome! Link to comment
violinist
He's cool. Perching up between the heater and skimmer box. It's so... weird... not having everyone facing into the current in attack pose. The wrasse is just in and out of caves scanning the rocks, the hawk is perched on the lookout. The anthia is just floating around showing off and the basslet found a nice area which is apparently blenny approved to chill in. Link to comment
Oats
Nice fish! Are they wife-approved? Link to comment
violinist
Nice fish! Are they wife-approved? The only one I picked (though I am happy with all) is the anthia. She picked the other ones and was a little miffed that the other ones she liked (a never ending parade of tangs, angels and butterflies) were either coral eaters or needed big tanks. She says we need a big tank and I need to stop screwing around with tiny tanks lol. Link to comment

Great pics as always, BTW. Your anthias is a very pretty, dainty fishy. Hope to see the bass soon. Link to comment
violinist
Just a time-out to say Up In The Air was the best movie I have seen in a long time. Link to comment
kennycs1292
the anthias is very nice. I thought they needed larger aquariums, or is that just a smaller species. I would love one in my 28g nano cube in the future Link to comment
