Well I looked back today at the tank I was trying to top for over 5 years now. I might be getting there if not there already ;)

My old 30 breeder setup in 2009 when featured tank

Lol looking at pic I still have one acan, blue candy canes and some palys from that tank.

All Ive got from my old tank, circa 2006, are a plague of green palys...

So tonight looking at tank more than normal Found some more nems from last spawn than I saw another new tiny one that has to be from new spawn from size difference. Also found a tiny pink one few inches from the new spawn one that was even a bit smaller and can't capture In pic.

Use sand to compare size

First spawn average size one

I just scooted over here from the RFA thread to see your tank.

It's beautiful!

You're obviously doing something right to have RFA babies surviving in there. I wonder if the size of your gravel is part of it? It looks larger than the regular sand most people use, maybe they can anchor better?

Thanks. I answered in other thread also. I never thought about till now but I'm sure it helps compared to super fine stuff. This way if they get buried they can crawl up.

Do maxi nems pop babies like rock nems?

I'm pretty sure they just split. Not sure if reproduce other way also.

Both tanks looking sweet. Lot a coral and everything looks happy and very colorful. your eye isn't distracted by one center piece, just a whole bunch of eye candy everywhere. love it!

Wow! I should have been following this thread sooner! Looks like you may pull off a second TOTM with this one. I love the balance of the mixed reef. Its definitely a feat to have such nice looking acros in a mixed reef tank. Love it!
