Yeah i have a feeling that they may become snacks for the mantis, might get her out and about a bit more then she currently is. Either way the tank needs a bit more movement and the sandbed is looking a little stale

Thinking about adding a fish to the tank for a bit of movement and hopefully to get the Mantis out a bit more, She seems a lot more shy now that she's been in the tank a while, currently leaning towards either a Molly of a Small Damsel.

 

Any other ideas for a fast and cheap fish?

So not the best introduction, the Damsel has been knocked the f@ck out by the mantis. Its slowly coming round again now though

 

Also picked up some Hermits for sandbed and a Nassarius snail

 

And @Murphych sent me a little GSP frag, been in the tank for about 30 minutes

Its going to sound odd, but i think that was a territorial punch, she postured after but has shown no further interest. The hermits though they interest her

I don’t think it’s odd. I think you’re spot on. She isn’t hungry enough to eat a fish, especially a lowly damsel. But she was protecting her territory at all costs.

Yeah the hermits and nassarius are having a feast at the moment,  maybe with more rock and caves would have worked. It was cheap fish which is why i tried it. Might try a Mollie at some point. Damsel literally stuck its head in the front door
