Can’t believe how far it had filled in since October when you showed off the first pic. 1 Quote Link to comment

Though saddening how I've struggled with this tank in keeping acans and color on so many of the LPS's. Hoping one day I'll figure it out and it will all come together🙂 1 Quote Link to comment
SaltyTanks
Some top downs, a view from my favorite spot on the couch, and raja rampage looking so good even though its in the back corner pooping, surrounded by cyano, and just got tagged by a rogue rhodactis that floats around... 6 1 Quote Link to comment

SaltyTanks
Starting to wear these coral shades a lot more around the house. My 4 year old tried them on & thought she landed on a different planet. Not what they look like in real life, until you put on a pair of these! 4 Quote Link to comment

SaltyTanks
Switching dosing from Red Sea Foundation & Trace Colors to ATI Essentials Pro. Seriously, what was I ever thinking with Red Sea’s program? I dose manually and put together a how-to video for my wife’s friend that tended to the tank while our family was out of town a couple months ago. I got a lot of flack for how complicated it was. In hindsight, I now see how stupid it would be to dose 7 different bottles of liquid, in different amounts, into different areas of the tank, at different times, and with different syringes. Our friend was great, she did it for the sake of sustaining this little eco system and nailed it. But how pissed would she be at me if she knew ATI Essentials Pro is an option? 2-part in equal amounts? Super pissed. Since we’ll be camping for a few days coming up & I need her help again tending the tank, thought I’d do a huge favor and eliminate Red Sea’s ridiculous dosing program. And of course do myself a huge favor for the rest of my reefing life. 3 2 1 Quote Link to comment
SaltyTanks
Amazed at how humbling it can be to observe the universe. Almost equally amazed at how much better dosing ATI Essentials Pro is than Red Sea’s foundation + elements. Just got back from 4 days of camping while my wife’s friend manually dosed ATI Essentials Pro x1 each day. Blown away seeing improved color & growth in such a short period & I haven’t even dialed-in the equilibrium/stabilized amounts yet. Only 2 bottles, equal parts...what was I thinking?!?!?! 6 1 Quote Link to comment

Yes, I vacuum the sand with every water change at least once a week. Also I like to blast it with a turkey baster a lot. To me there’s something really gratifying about blasting a ditritus cloud from under the rock and out into the water column. Can’t explain why. I don’t think that’s recommended though unless you’ve been doing it routinely since the beginning. Quote Link to comment

Reefkid88
I need to give it another try,but the light pollution near me is terrible, and I don't have to hundreds of dollars for a light pollution filter lol. But with my t3i and my short focal lenses in this light is a task !!! I need to get my shutter remote working again and bust out my crooked tripod 😂 1 Quote Link to comment
