Thanks, Spectra! 😊 The suns are pretty, but I do like my xenia too. Survival of the fittest... we’ll see who wins in my saltwater jungle haha. Xenia is much easier to control though, so I’m betting on the suns. Quote Link to comment

I did... still need to play around with it some... first I thought I broke it while taking it out of the box and taking apart the lenses...then I couldn’t get it to focus with the macro lens... probably user error though, and I hope to take some more time to look at it tonight. I’m not so sure about that yet... will spend some more time with it over the weekend and let you know my thoughts. I highly recommend a clip on of some kind if you’re photographing your tank with your phone or iPad, but I’m not sure if this one is better than the more inexpensive ones I have. banasophia
Emerald crab was doing its thing tonight, debriding the dead tissue from the branching dendro/sun. It makes me so sad that I damaged this coral as I did when I moved it... it’s hanging in there, all the heads are still alive, but I’m not sure whether tissue will grow back over the skeleton the way it did on my yellow suns when I first got them. I think I’ll try some reef roids and/or coral frenzy on it. 2 Quote Link to comment

banasophia
Finnick, my mandarin, was totally photobombing today and I got some nice shots of him... the white lights came on right in the middle of my picture taking. Wanted to get some pics now before I frag that shorter branch off the gorgonian that’s blocking the view of my Fiji yellow... sad to frag it, but I’ll find another good spot for it. 6 1 Quote Link to comment
banasophia
Ah, I lucked out today at my LFS... they had one more branching dendro left... it was in their display tank and they offered to sell it to me, which they don’t normally do. Thinking I’ll move the injured one to a more protected spot where it can feed better and heal up. The new one is big... still deciding how to frag/place it... will try to get some pics tomorrow. I also got a porcelain crab after watching one in that same display tank... what a beautiful creatures they are. Looks like my little guy has some injuries... may be missing a leg and the pincher part of one claw, but his mixillipeds appear to be intact, so hopefully he’ll be fine. Tried to get a pic tonight, but the camera wouldn’t focus for some reason... will have to try again. 2 Quote Link to comment
