brad908
Just took some pics. Really need to redo them at night so there isn't so much glare and clean the glass, but haven't posted pics of this tank in a long time... mangrove tank 6 by Brad Baldwin Photography, on Flickr mangrove tank 7 by Brad Baldwin Photography, on Flickr mangrove tank 2 by Brad Baldwin Photography, on Flickr mangrove tank by Brad Baldwin Photography, on Flickr mangrove tank 3 by Brad Baldwin Photography, on Flickr mangrove tank 5 by Brad Baldwin Photography, on Flickr mangrove tank 4 by Brad Baldwin Photography, on Flickr 7 Quote Link to comment
D Z
Awesome shots brad. Do you usually shoot the tank with 35mm? 1 Quote Link to comment
brad908
Awesome shots brad. Do you usually shoot the tank with 35mm? Yea, my favorite lens. Sometimes I use the canon 24-105L, but usually the sigma 35. Quote Link to comment
brad908
What is something fast growing (spreads out) and easy to maintain? Obviously GSP is the thing that comes to mind right away, but feel like it might be too bright in color. This is going on the rock wall on the right side of the tank. Quote Link to comment
Drew Shark
I have some neon green and gold clove polyps that reproduce fairly quickly. They grow slower than GSP though. 1 Quote Link to comment
Benny314
Xenia is known to grow like a weed, as well as the normal grey/white you can get pink as well. Quote Link to comment
tanacharison
What about an encrusting monti? They are not too fast of growers but in time will look cool. Quote Link to comment
brad908
Xenia is known to grow like a weed, as well as the normal grey/white you can get pink as well. Considering ORA Silver Xenia (but might too long) or ORA Pom Pom Xenia. Need something fairly compact as I don't have much room for outward growth. What about an encrusting monti? They are not too fast of growers but in time will look cool. Could work, I was planning on some monti's. ________________________________________________________________________________ I did a big macro trimming yesterday and replanted the trimmings. Should be ready for a video by Friday. In other news, I bought a drone last week and here are two videos from my first weekend using it. #1 Alabama Hills and Inyo National Forest #2 South of Half Moon Bay, around Pescedero. Lighthouse is called Pigeon Point. This was yesterday morning and it was super foggy. Glad some footage came out, as everytime it returned the drone and camera would be covered in condensation. Still getting a hang of how to fly it and smoothly move the camera around, but I love it. If anyone is into travel/lifestyle photography, I mostly post on IG www.instagram.com/bradmbaldwin 1 Quote Link to comment
cnseekatz
+1 on the Pom Pom xenia. I'm not sure where you are in CA, but I've got some you can have for free if you're nearby. 1 Quote Link to comment
Sharbuckle
How about some encrusting gorgonian? I had some a few years ago and spread like crazy. 1 Quote Link to comment
dpoltsdsu
Xenia, Clove Polyps, GSP. If you are in the Socal area, I have some that you can use 1 Quote Link to comment

cnseekatz
Looking good man. Did you grow your mangroves from propagules, or did you buy sprouted plants? How long did it take before they really started leafing out? Quote Link to comment
brad908
Looking good man. Did you grow your mangroves from propagules, or did you buy sprouted plants? How long did it take before they really started leafing out? When I bought them they all had 2 leaves. I've had them for about 18 months now. It is hard to judge growth, they definitely go through growth spurts. But I can't tell you "every month expect new leaves to sprout". Quote Link to comment

brad908
Quick iPhone pics during a water change. Growth has been incredible and bumped up to once a week trimmings. Really need to glue down some moss on that one branch on the next trim. 6 Quote Link to comment
brad908
Quick iPhone pic from yesterday. Haven't done a water change in months, and don't plan on it unless things start getting ugly. Freshwater tank is still getting weekly water changes and I've been trimming the tree moss twice a week. Crazy growth. 3 Quote Link to comment
Justind823
Nice growth! Do you dose ferts on the fw? C02? Quote Link to comment
Justind823
Also, is the green in this pic this macro? http://live-plants.com/Cactus.htm I like the look of it and I'd like to get some as a filler in my tank. In your experience, is it actually slower growing like the site says? Quote Link to comment
brad908
Nice growth! Do you dose ferts on the fw? C02? Neither. Just water changes and flake food for the fish. Also, is the green in this pic this macro? http://live-plants.com/Cactus.htm I like the look of it and I'd like to get some as a filler in my tank. In your experience, is it actually slower growing like the site says? It's one of the few macros I haven't been able to keep it alive. I've tried twice. Quote Link to comment
brad908
The natural morning sunlight on the FW tank. Went a little scissor happy on the tree last night, but I'm sure by next week it will be out of control again lol 4 Quote Link to comment
