how did u remove the metal bracket???? that thing drives me crazy!

+1 on this. I would like to know as well. It makes my light sit crooked on my tank, makes me go nuts.

Super easy jus the two screws on the bottom side (led side) under and slide the metal bracket out. (Takes a bit of a lift them slide..)

Frogspawn has opened up so much.. I may have to take the plug off and get the skeleton deeper down in the sand so it has more space.

Tanks looking great man. Very nice

Thanks so much my friend!

Ooooooooh a time-lapse sounds awesome! Especially with the corals opening and all that.

Gonna be soon I hope! Still have alot to film though, it's difficult since I'm at work at 12:00pm when the lights come on in the afternoon so most filming is weekends.

damn man... Your tank looks wicked good. If you compare your tank pics from now and your 1 month mark it is unreal! Love the progress so far.

Thanks friends! :) I'm on a slight spending cut for now, but it shouldn't be for too long. I have to sell my current car as I'm in the works right now of getting the finances done on bringing this new beast home (hopefully.)

I should be finding out tomorrow if I will have the money or not. If so - the priority will be to sell my current car. Once that is sold, I'm gonna get back at advancing my tank. Some small things I have in mind would be I'd like to add a bit more sand to one part of the tank. The back right side has very very little sand. I'd like to remove the plugs from alot of the corals and get some good underwater black epoxy to glue them right down on the rock. I'd also like to remove the huge frag plug from the bottom of the frogspawn and get that skeleton buried a bit deeper.

Anyways, here's a pic of why I've had to cut back on everything haha.. I mean, corals are one thing but I'm not even buying morning coffee's / bagels anymore. ZERO "want" spending for just a little while longer :D

Nice, it should be worth the going with out for awhile :) I'm putting off getting more corals to but only to save for a larger tank

Eventually I want a custom tank ;)

But.. It's going to take alot of careful thought I think because I don't own a house yet and someday when I do I'd really like there to be a perfect spot to keep a nice larger size aquarium!

Your tank looks awesome now Tropi!

A little bit difficult to tell but this is a brand new baby snail!!! He's TINY. Moves around the tank alot usually on the walls. I'm hoping it grows, that would be like $3 free hahaha....

love the pics. I have heaps of the stomatella snails all through my tank, sometimes I see five of them in a line moving along the glass, I've counted as many as nine before :)

Also Good Luck on the Car front :)

Day 87: 3 Month mark! (Tomorrow)

Did a big WC Today. I'm noticing some diatoms beginning to build up on my sand. I had this problem before - but when I added my two nassarius snails it went away. I'm not sure where my nass snails have been, I haven't seen them in a couple weeks...

Anyways, nitrates are pretty high. This is pre-WC after 1 week. I'll test the Nitrate tomorrow again and see if the WC made an impact.

Ammonia: 0ppm

Nitrite: 0ppm

Nitrate: 20ppm ~

Kh/Alk: 150ppm (8)

Calcium: 425ppm (Was purple at 400ppm, but then became pink again after 5 mins. Half a drop more would have kept it solid.)

Salt: 1.027

Temp: 76-78*F

My larger ricordia split yesterday morning. I went to move it a little bit with my tweezers and it just fell apart into two pieces. Seems good though, there's a mouth on the second piece so I think it wanted to split the way it did. My GOLD yuma turned orange :'( I wish it stayed gold... oh well..
