That would work. Pull the bubbles then drop a drop of hydrogen peroxide on each bubble base, then glue the rics.

Late evening of Day 92:

Finally got around to some filming! :) Came out better than I expected. Really happy to have caught my shrimp / goby together peeking out of the burrow. This is probably the first time they did it while I had my camera out in the past 3 months. Glad I caught it!!!

If you haven't seen my video above check it out! :)

Here's a few shots, Day 93 (Evening):

My Goby, Michelangelo.

One of my two Nassarius' Snails. Might add a few more..

That one big Ricordia split - the other half / mouth is a bit to the left outside of the frame. However, whenever it stays where I like it to stay it likes to expand quite a bit! Love how it fills up that space.. going to pull that rock out this week and glue them all down.

Lastly, two shots of my Goby / Shrimp pair hanging out.

Thought about it and ricordias get super slimy if you handle them, so I am not sure if you will be able to glue them down. I have found that if you just drop them in a crevice in the rock (so the current wont move them), in about two days they will attach themselves.

Rics can be tricky. I just got some that were attached to a big piece of rock. I couldn't peel them off at all. I ended up chiseling them off the rock, which was super easy.

If I did get them off, I was going to place them in a Tupperware inside my tank full of rock rubble. They eventually will grab onto the rubble, which can then be glued. From my research, your not supposed to glue rics down.

Good luck! Tank looks great. I've been debating on getting a shrimp/goby pair.

Yeah all of my Ric's are on small rocks - and glued to plugs. I wanna take the plugs out so they're natural and able to expand and grow out. Glue the rock to the rock!

My one big ric (Seen in the middle of the pic) is loose and moves around sometimes. I usually place it back where it is in the pic, and it loves that spot and expands.

I've moved my light up a bit too - I think my hammer wasn't "reaching" out for the light as much thus why it wasn't as "big."

(I moved the light closer about a week ago)

:( Things are going downhill. I've found bubble algae now on both rocks on the under-sides. I don't want to pull both rocks out, and move all the frags around, it would just mess everything completely up :(

Any suggestions? Thinking of just tossing a emerald crab and a peppermint shrimp in to see what happens now with aptasia / bubble algae...

can't u take out the rocks during your next water change? but getting that emerald crab can be a first step. if u r lucky, it will get all the bubble algae but u still have to take care of the aiptasia....

Ah man,I had that god forsaken stuff in my first tank. But just don't pop the bubbles in the tank, please don't. Talk about a disaster. Honestly,I have some on my snails shells and I need to take a razor blade and scrape it off.. But like Ninja said, just take the rocks out during a water change, and scrape it off. You'll be happy you did.

i take out my rock with SPS and LPS and zoas on it all the time to pull out hair algae and vacuum the sand underneath. 5 mins out of water is no big deal.

just dont take ur hammer out because without water to support the tissue, they may tear against the skeleton. or piss off the hammer first so it retracts and then take it out

I had some red bubble algae on one of my rocks when my tank was cycling. I took the rock out and scaped it off with a razor blade and rinsed in the water I removed from the water change, then scrubed the whole rock with a brush, rinsed again and was done. It hasn't made a reappearance yet :)

Went and peeped out my LFS .. place looked like sh*t. I dunno why haha, they must be at the end of their inventory for the week or something but there was nothing vibrant or good looking so I left empty handed. Saw a baby porcelain crab which looked cool but wouldn't be beneficial.. Gonna maybe go out later to try and find a baby emerald

I hate that, always the worst. That's how the one place I went too on Sunday was. I was in an out in 2-3 minutes lol.

Yea I heard baby emeralds do the best at algae removal. But if I were you I would just pull out the rock rather than jeopardize the shrimp.

Day 98 (Thx for the feedback the past few days guys, been really busy lately..)

I went out to the LFS today, and they had everything I wanted actually so I was very happy!

A shot of my Goby / Shrimp

Today I picked up two very tiny dwarf zebra hermit crabs.. Right when they got in the tank they were already tackling some green stuff!!

After 5 minutes the glass was already becoming cleaner...

I also added a baby emerald crab. He's about 1.5cm in size, very very small and very timid. When I put him in, I put him on top of the rock where the bubble algae was. After a few minutes he moved and he's currently on the side/ beneath the rock now beside the bubble algae but I haven't seen him picking at it yet. Couldn't get any photographs yet, so I will update again soon once I do!! :)

Also, if you're interested - yesterday I went out for a ride to another LFS which I haven't been to in a while.

They wanted $20 for emerald crabs and the ones they had were all MASSIVE like.. size of my palm in my hand. Heh, those things would come out of my tank at night and snip me in my sleep hahahaha....

The ones I picked up today were from a different LFS and were only $9/ea.

that store looks nice!!! and still very jealous of ur bike

Heh thanks man!! It's a small bike but I enjoy riding around on it alot :) (Although we only get like 3 months of summer here where I live)

Did you see the eel at 2:44 in the video? It's been there forever past 3 months and it's like $300...
