Alright. I think I've decided to order from live aquaria for my fish. Went to 3 lfs today and saw nothing but sick fish, and crappy selection. I'm leaning towards the following.

Trio of carberryi anthias

1 yellow coris wrasse (really want a leopard, but always here they do better in groups)

Trio of green/blue chromis

1 Midas Blenny

And I would really like a fish that gets a little bigger...my tang selection is cut small because of tank size. Don't want a kole, tomini, or yellow tang. Only other tang I think would be ok is squaretail. I wish I wasn't so scared of dwarf angles. I love them! The tank is pretty much all sps with the exception of some zoas, and some acans. Should I go for a angel? Want to get my order in tonight. Also getting some stuff for the little tank.

The Coris and Midas will both resemble yellow colorations. I would highly suggest the midas but what about the Lubbock's Fairy Wrasse instead of the Coris?

solon fairy wrasse or lubbocks wrasse if you want something a little bigger. Also, I wouldn't waste your $ not he chromis. They will just kill each other until their is only one left. JMO.

Only thing I see as an issue on that list is the lenght of it. You may run into problems adding all that at once. I suggest at least doing it in 2 or 3 orders. I wish I could order there.

I'm a little bit of a yellow freak...lol...but I do like fairy wrasse...it's the personality I like when it comes to the coris. My buddy has one and it's super cool to watch!

I had some success with them in my other tank. Started with 4 and lost 1. The other 3 lived for almost a year. After that 1 by 1 they went bye bye...not the hardiest fish, but I always liked them. What would you substitute with?? I would like something with some blue/green that I can possibly keep in a group.

I Plan to quarantine the fish. I'm scared not to quarantine after loosing my other fish to flukes. It only takes 1 sick fishy! So they would be split into 2 quarantine tanks. I would add little by little out of quarantine.

I don't know, man. I think you are pushing it by adding the anthias, coris, and midas to the existing fish. I wouldn't add 3 more.

I agree. I really like coris wrasses. They add color, are fairly peaceful, and are always cruising for pods/other stuff. Great fish.

I lost all my other fish :( I wouldn't be adding these fish if I still had my existing stock. I really miss my tang too!

That's why the list is so big. I had a hard battle with flukes, and in the end the flukes won. I'm starting from scratch. The tank has been fallow now for over 4 weeks.

By the time i quarantine for a couple weeks I'm hoping I will be good.

oh, I guess I missed that LOL. I blame being in Peru and stuff :P

In that case, I guess it sounds alright. I am sure your zeovit filter can take the sudden increase in nutrients from adding all those fish... I hope.

Lol...it's cool. I was still fighting the battle till a week ago. I was hoping to save the 2 that were still holding on. Tough parasite to fight though. 2 times I thought I was winning the fight, only to wake up in the morning and be let down.

I'm not brave enough to add all those fish at once...lol...even if my system could handle it. Too much money invested to risk it. I would a quarantine all fish and just add them slowly. Picking fish is so hard!!!...I wants them all...

Well not going to post any pics yet. So far things are not looking very good. I sent reef raft a message already. A couple frags look really bad, and one already has a lot of TN. Just got them in the tank a couple min ago. Let's see how it goes.

Yea. They didn't even have a ice pack or anything. Kind of surprised. Let's see what they say.

Well about 50% of the frags look like complete crap. Hopefully reef raft makes it right. Still can't believe they didn't put a ice pack in the cooler. Really bummed out. Lot of money to get half dead sticks.

If they don't make it right I defiantly won't be doing any future business with them.

Whoa.... Really?

Thats like Mr. coral, and sending me frags with hand warmers. (Rated for less time than the alotted shipping.)

In winter...

In other news. How many hardcore fishermen or women do we have here :)
I'm a salt freak and completely addicted to the ocean! Will be offshore for 3 days this weekend!!

This is what a salties dining table looks like! Making rigs and stuff now. After that time to go to the garage and Rig up some fresh ballyhoo! I don't sleep the day before a fishing trip. Its tradition. Stay up all night making rigs, getting rods ready, boat ready, ect. Praying for nice weather too!

Alex how did you do?! I haven't been offshore that far north really but have a flats boat and fish mosquito lagoon when I am in the area. My offshore experience is down south off Hillsborough Inlet. Went to UCF but now live in PA. I miss fishing every weekend. Your post made me jealous...I do the same thing before a big fishing trip!

We did ok! Weather was crappy all weekend, but early morning/afternoons were good. We got on some maks, and did a ton of bottom fishing. Really wish they didn't have all these crazy restrictions on red snapper now, I would have had a great snapper dinner!

Also got into some mahi. Nothing great though. Just schoolies, but still yummy!

Nice! At least you got something. Little schoolies are so much fun though and make the best blackened fish sandwiches! Ya the red snapper restrictions have been crazy but will hopefully make for a better fishery in the future. Still fun to catch though. :)

I fish lakes, ponds, rivers.... No O'chins tho. :D

I'm a Bass kinda guy.

I grew up on that stuff. Gotta love the fight of a 6lb smallmouth or watching a largemouth take a topwater Rapala! However, there is just something about kite fishing a few miles offshore watching a sailfish slash up your goggle eye, the zing your reel makes with a wahoo on the other end, or the colors of Mahi cruising up your chumline that freshwater can't compete with! Living in PA though I mainly have just been sticking to Steelhead and Salmon Fishing a couple times a year in the fall/winter.

Yea! It wasn't a bust. Had a lot of fun.

I think it's time re-open the snapper fishery. In my opinion, it is thriving and re-established. I agree with keeping strict daily bag limits, especially for the commercial guys! I've been fishing wrecks where I can't catch anything other than snapper. One after another. The numbers are healthy and stable again. Keep the commercial guys away from them, just like snook, and everything will be fine!

Just my 2 cents though.

Ya, I haven't been out there in a long while for bottom fishing but have heard that its back from a lot of people. Commercial guys ruin it for us for sure! Keep them away and we would catch every drift! You do much Snook fishing in Sebastian inlet? Been there a couple times and its a blast for sure!

I love fishing the inlet. It's a lil over a hour drive for me, but so worth it. Once you get your fishing tactics down, and learn the ropes, the inlet is great! I do a lot of surf fishing too in Titusville. I'm a pompano freak! I love being out on the boat, but enjoy sitting on the surf just as much. I really good drifting the inlet during snook season. I have a picture from the last fish I caught this season. Let me find it.

Well took some quick pics. I had to photograph everything that didn't make it for reef raft. Ofcourse it would be my signature pieces and the prettiest ones that did not make the trip. :(

Anyways here are some quick pics.

Hope this stays this pink.

And this piece is amazing, but it's almost a goner. Came in with more tissue floating in the bag then on the skeleton. Also has like 10 barnacles on it. Wouldn't expect that for such a high end piece. Was pretty upset and hope for a replacement.
