Lalani
So, this tank is 2 months old! Finally got around to placing the red monti cap on the back wall and it really looks different. Now I've got a shelf to work with, and thats good, because I got a couple new sps frags yesterday. Need to figure out the easiest way to snip off the bases of the frag plugs they're on. Took a variety of full tank shots today and a couple of close-ups.http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230496353/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230496353/'>IMG_6557 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230495683/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230495683/'>IMG_6568 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230495793/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230495793/'>IMG_6564 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230495963/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230495963/'>IMG_6563 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230680434/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230680434/'>IMG_6562 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230350665/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230350665/'>IMG_6553 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206171673/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206171673/'>IMG_6371 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on FlickrYou can see one of the pieces of setosa is STNing, the other two are growing well though:http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206171533/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206171533/'>IMG_6373 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206348094/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206348094/'>IMG_6374 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on FlickrNewest ric: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206029195/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206029195/'>IMG_6499 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206028975/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13206028975/'>IMG_6506 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230681424/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230681424/'>IMG_6537 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230496933/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/kimclark/13230496933/'>IMG_6542 by http://www.flickr.com/people/kimclark/'>Ugiesnugums, on Flickr Thanks for looking! 6 Quote Link to comment

Lalani
looking good! Tank is looking awesome !!! I'm using it as inspiration Weee, thank you! Is the monti on a glass cleaner. Yep! I glued a piece of eggcrate (1x3 squares) to the magfloat, then glued the monti to the eggcrate. After the fact, I thought about spray painting the whole getup black, but it was too late.. and the toadstool does a pretty good job of blocking it from sight. If it bothers me, I can pop the eggcrate off and paint the magfloat at least. Quote Link to comment
GtTap
Cool think im going to pick up a large glas cleaner and put my monti on it that will free up alot of space on my rocks. 1 Quote Link to comment

Nice, its a quick and easy solution, especially if you have a bunch of spare magfloats lying around like I do. I was going to make a magnet rock out of epoxy and rubble, but haven't been able to find the right magnets for cheap yet. Quote Link to comment

I just epoxy-glued a monti frag directly to my glass in the corner of my Fluval Spec. It is growing rapidly, including over the glass itself! Might not be an option for larger tanks, but it is kind of an interesting look. Quote Link to comment
Lalani
Took some pics yesterday and today using the 430EX, a diffuser, and the old DIY ringflash to see what kind of macros I could get. The in-camera colors were more yellow from the flash, so I pulled them more towards blue in RAW processing to look normal. And I see Flickr has gone and updated their look again.... ah, found the IMG code.Lavender rhodactis:Flash with diffuser:DIY ringflash:Hungry spiderman mushrooms:Diffuser:Hermit:Diffuser:^above cropped to show his cuuuute little face:Red duster:Diffuser:Sponge:Diffuser:Mussel. He's been growing pretty quickly since the removal of the emerald crab. You can see in the second shot the new dark growth:Diffuser:Ringflash: 5 Quote Link to comment
