Tamberav
Do you dose pods everyday? what are you feeding them? I want to keep one but never any luck before. Teach me oh Dragon master! I mean Khaleesi!! teach me how to train a dragon!! I feed them ova, mysis and pellets. Mostly ova as that is everyone's favorite. I don't dose pods. I have a 20g fuge loaded with pods and macro and in the tank itself, the entire sandbed is covered with macro and I have several thick bushes of macro (titans, flame, ochtodes) growing on the rock. I feel that macro is part of the key to keeping sufficient numbers of pods in the tank. Since the dragons get "crop dusted" (once a day, but 2-4 times if I need to fatten up a new dragon) with food, the pods get a lot of food too and multiply like crazy within the macro where the dragons can't reach them and spread out from there. I'm sure the large fishless fuge helps as well and he macro keeps perimeters in check since dragons are messy to feed. I basically went this this format after Matt Peterson in an article in Coral Magazine kept 3 regularly breeding pairs of dragons in a 25g cube using lots and lots of macro and fed them various frozen foods. I can't really claim the idea was my own Here is the article and a pic of his tank: http://coralmagazine.coverleaf.com/coral/20111112#pg57 Link to comment

ll_maynard_ll
Moved my mantis (Bane) into the center compartment (temp) and put Mr. Bones in the fuge. Figure thats the best possible chance of survival. It's a JUNGLE of macro algae so I'm going to trim it down tomorrow as I will never find him in it to target feed him. Bane was NOT HAPPY. He did not want to give up his cozy pad to a fish. I had to tear apart the fuge and make a mess to get him out. :> Poor Bane, gotta give up his nice pad to some rich guy. Well you should definitely call the mandy Bruce Wayne now. Link to comment

aaron1987
Ofc I got some pics too Btw, I can see pods all over the macro. You would think 4 dragons would wipe the pods out but macro is such an amazing hiding area for them to breed that pods are thriving. My god this is an awesome fish! I hope he fattens up nicely for you! Link to comment

Tamberav
Updated FTS. Some GHA due to the rock leaching some phosphates (since it was sitting outside for years). I put my 2 mexican turbo's in there for about an hour after I took this pic and they ate about 50% of it. Amazing snails! Scared to leave them though in case they eat my macro. I think I will just keep putting them in for awhile each day until the GHA is gone. These two were chilling together before bed. I'll prob take another FTS soon, the tank actually looks a lot different then these (took yesterday) because I moved a bunch of new corals in from the frag swap today. Link to comment

Tamberav
My clam brought in a lot of macros that sort of just sprung up off of it even though it was clean when I got it. It brought some bad ones like bubble algae, bryopsis and some sort of invasive red macro that thankfully my turbo ate most of. Here are some of the (hopefully) non-invasive ones it brought in: Some green things... http://s74.photobucket.com/user/Tamberav/media/macro2_zpsd892272f.jpg.html'> http://s74.photobucket.com/user/Tamberav/media/macro1_zpsf0f1a3da.jpg.html'> Ulva? http://s74.photobucket.com/user/Tamberav/media/macro5_zpsb6fb2afb.jpg.html'> This macro is PINK! http://s74.photobucket.com/user/Tamberav/media/macro3_zps74b03d6a.jpg.html'> A calcified macro..
