Anna576
Could you post a few more pics of how you hung your AI Sol? I'm in the works with an almost identical set up but I can't seem to figure out how to hang the thing without using AI's rail kits. Also your pugs are adorable Link to comment
Begow
I don't have the AI sol just yet.. I have the Aquastyles DIY kit. I will have the AI Sol in a few weeks. gotsta save some ninja. But yeah, let me take a few pictures and I'll upload them for you. 1 Link to comment
Begow
So the entire set up I bought from Lowes.. 30 foot of wire (typical wiring a light would be hung with, braided steel) A pack of S-Hooks, 8-9 C-Clamps (I always buy way more than I need, I broke a few C-Clamps for over tightening) and then just a regular hook set for hanging things. Then I also bought a new drill bit, and some wire cutters. As you can see I marked the wire where it goes into the C-Clamp to see if I'm getting any slippage. It's not pretty, but it will be more well put together once I get my AI. Link to comment

Begow
instead using the s hook why not bolt the two wires together? I have the drivers zip tied to one side of the fixture, and if I bolted them together it will hang to that side and won't be level over the tank. Doing this let me adjust the angle of the fixture over the tank. Link to comment

I just want something clean and programmable. I like the look too, I like hipster stuff. edit: for some reason it reminds me of Apple stuff, which in turn is hipster. 2 Link to comment

I use to be a hipster but there's just too many out there like that. Not only will you like the program-ability on it, but the color it gives out looks like star wars light sabers. Link to comment

Formula462
I never really minded cable confusion above a light fixture. If someone nitpicks the cleanliness of the hanging hardware, something went wrong with the display IMO. 1 Link to comment

TeflonTomDosh
Are there toggle bolts behind those hooks in ceiling or are those hooks put directly into a stud? Link to comment
Lawnman
Are there toggle bolts behind those hooks in ceiling or are those hooks put directly into a stud?I hung a 48 inch sunpod from my ceiling with toggle bolts that open up behind the drywall. That is plenty for a light fixture you don't need them in studs. The wife and my oldest dog: Me in the middle with some buddies right before we cleaned up the bike trails at 7:30AM. I ain't scured. One more for fun, I swear this is not a staged picture. My boss told me not to move so I thought I was seriously hurt. He was grabbing his camera. This is what happens when you get a flat tire halfway down a 30ft long super steep ass hill filled with rocks and roots. More pictures of the wife. she is a cutie. Hot wife bikes and tattoos you have a great thread going. 2 Link to comment
