mpsti05
Thanks man! I look forward to checking out your new setup! I do have a cali-tort frag if you would ever want a piece. Don't know if $30 + shipping would be worth it though. (I'll take a pic just in case ) Lol I'm sure my lfs will get some more in eventually. I'm excited about the new tank, more room for the fish and more coral plus I'll finally be able to have some awesome equipment. Real skimmer etc... 1 Quote Link to comment

Spencer7
I just changed out my bulbs, the layout has been updated on Post #1. Some of you may be excited for me to completely update my corals list and post a few pics tomorrow! Tank looks clean and the SPS looks happy. I'm so happy with my Reverse Prism Favia that I'm considering getting another, if I can't I may just have to go back to acans . If anyone can get me a piece of golden RPF or any nicely colored piece outside of the kind I have, I will pay. 1 Quote Link to comment

Spencer7
Tank looks good, spent a lot time during the water change removing algae, like always. This time I used some scissors on the hair algae and had a small going next to the blades. Moved a few corals up from the sand bed. The left island is completely packed with acros, I need more on the right island. No coral looks "bad" Maybe i'll do some pics this weekend. 1 Quote Link to comment

Spencer7
As usual everything looks great! Phew I thought I was the only one with these patches of algae I don't wanna talk about it. I feel ashamed. Saltwater is going on the back burner for a bit. School seems to be kicking up among other things (vacation, money, baseball, freshwater ), the last two things going on with this tank for a while will be the new frags I'm adding and some algae trouble shooting. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Spencer7
Costa Rica is da bomb. Tank is being taken of nicely. As long as the house doesn't lose power while I'm gone, we're all good. (Knock on wood) An official FTS will be posted when I get back. Quote Link to comment

Spencer7
Check back later in the day as I will be posting PAR numbers on the FTS using an Apogee meter. I will take the PAR of the roughly 8 month old bulbs I used, and the relatively new, one month old set I have on now. ---------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------- Quote Link to comment
Spencer7
I am happy with the numbers! 300 seems like the average. The middle column of the tank is packing with light. Screen Shot 2014-02-22 at 11.05.22 AM by spencermatonis, on Flickr 1 Quote Link to comment

Spencer7
^ Setting up a nice ADA tank if anyone was curious. I'm not dead and neither is the tank. Everything is doing well, growing and PE. I'm starting to rid of the tank of algae, the to-do list below is mainly concerning my algae attack plan (AAP). Start dosing Bi-Ionic (Instead of FM) Buy an automatic doser Restock on some Zeovit products Get a sea hare temp. (if I have to) Take some pics Add a few small hermits Start dosing TechM (Instead of FM) Add some emerald crabs Add a tuxedo urchin Add a turbo (we only had one) So far the normal bryopsis is thinning out rapidly, meanwhile my bubble algae and Bryopsis Pennata (< the worst ) are seemingly unfazed. 2 Quote Link to comment
